  1. didn't realize how many stadiums still have grass in this district.
  2. THANKS!! one more question, can you ask about the times?? the Pearland scrimmage is a out 25 minutes from my house, but i'm working that day. if it's in the evening around 6 or 7 i can make plans to get off early.
  3. the game wasn't as close as the score would indicate...I was there...as it stormed outside.
  4. man it's kinda beginning to feel like football now...I think band practice started in PA...can't wait till mid October and hoping for cooler weather early.
  5. back in the 80's I remember people calling it preseason lol
  6. any news on who PAM has on the scrimmage list?
  7. LaMarque donkey stomped them in preseason...when...micah....mosely....played...u have no idea how hard it was to say that name lol
  8. IMO, with all the growth still pushing southward down 45, I think LM high school is going to kill itself off. every year it gets smaller and smaller while new schools and communities are being built 30 minutes away. would not surprise me if the school has 100-200 kids in it come next realignment.
  9. it would raise it in two years. who knows, UIL might move the numbers again also. they can get a 1000 students right now, they still going to be 5a for two years.
  10. as far as the physical building, it is being used as half high school and half middle school, so there is no waste of money there. as far as rezoning, think of tc and lm like pn-g and Nederland. there is a set of tracks that separate the two. west texas city sit across the street from LM. the best option is to see if the high school in LM continues to decrease. if it does, it would make sense just to have the remaining 200 or so kids attend the TC campus. FORGET ABOUT SPORTS!!! if it puts them lplaying 6a so be it. education first. Texas City H.S. is on the far side of the city...about 5-9 miles from LM school.
  11. yes even i contradicted my original statement. Just saying that was/is an option for them two years from now.
  12. not really...when i was in high school, PA had three high schools with three classifications. the problem is we have been brainwashed into thinking a small school district have to have one high school. they can keep LM the way it is and still be absorbed. Texas City would have a 5a and a 3a...simple as that.
  13. lol...it's going to interesting..how can you mention 22-5a without saying one peep about PAM moving in?? lol nederland= port arthur junior.
  14. any list that has teams from the valley lose a crap load of credit lol...well i guess somebody go. Manvel is the only real legit team that could possibly go the distance from this area as in houston to the LA state line. (region 3)
  15. they won't need to build another school. TC recently built a new high school about 5-6 years ago that's a good size. Lamarque high school only less than 450 students (more like in the 300's)TC has enough room in the school. the rest of the students can also be absorbed to the middle school and various elementary schools. if anything, maybe another elementary.
  16. i live in lamarque, but from port arthur. since hurricane Ike, many people from south galveston co(galveston, hitchcock and lamarque) have moved more north. Dickinson seems to have taken all the talent. right after Ike, most headed for Manvel, Dawson and some of the clear lake schools. i would say currently, Dickinson is the top dog in this area as of now.
  17. is there a way we can see this on the net?
  18. this is top secert squirrel stuff!! lol...j/k maxpreps and type in P.A.Memorial and go to roster. click Hines and watch video.
  19. not to hi jack or change the subject, but that passage says CUPECAKE ALL OVER IT. the pre and post isn't that great, but can run through the district. Nederland, PN-g and Central is/was the better teams above the rest of the district...and looking how central played at times, you wonder how in the hell they play so well in district play?? not trying to knock on our club, but it makes you think, do they gel at the right time or the district is that bad??
  20. hey BG, on maxpreps, the running back hines looks to be somewhat legit. if we were in 6A, i'll say we need a stable. i think it helped him and that offense when jones is qb, as on the highlight tape. it's JV footage, but gives you an idea on what he looks like. just go to roster and click his name. it also appears the video is from that huddle site.
  21. we saw two different teams lol. throwing to one wr isn't "balling" out. on top of that the routes were 0-5 yard patterns. kid has a strong arm, but has NO accuracy.to boot, he is slow and can't make plays with his legs.
