  1. so the record is 3-1 PAM. Winning twice at the Rez and once at home(some how we only got ONE home game and the rest been at PNG)
  2. you know, thinking about it, we didn't have much of a qb in 2016 and played a great game and won.
  3. my concern is the qb for PAM
  4. Ron McGill was a senior when i was a freshman. first time i saw png football and was like u gotta be kidding me lol
  5. Since the other thread was started in july and had various topics,i feel like we could have one specific to this weeks match up
  6. I think it’s the opposite. Last year the offense caught fire and never let off the gas. This year I feel like the defense is going to have to win the game(s) by putting the offense in great field position. For PAM to win, the D is going to have to shut png down until the offense find some rhythm. Was told by a starters parent , that I grew up with, defense was stellar. QB looked better the first scrimmage. PAM going to need defense and special teams to contribute. Unless the “coaches” can find creative ways to get the ball in the play makers hands and not depend on the qb decision making, it’s gonna be a long night. Heart says titans, mind say injuns.
  7. PAM scrimmaged at home. Nobody got a look???
  8. I just tell it like it is. I love the TEAM as in the effort they put in. U can’t go through life being a homer and thinking your team is unstoppable, but have no hardware to back it up. Also this area have been so mediocre and EVERYONE has accepted just getting to the playoffs or winning a first rd game is a hellava season in a watered down playoff system. PNG made the move PAM should have been made. PAM FAN I think it was made a point. Who wants to live in this area?? Well PNG spent money and was able to get the right coach
  9. i know of a freshman WR #15 is a friend of mine nephew
  10. u know what i mean lol...i'm speaking of current locals lol
  11. careful there lol....oh i agree 100%, but others won't lol
  12. the better question is how many kids probably should be playing for PAM, but got the hook up on addresses lol. or just plain have ties to PA.
  13. i agree, but i feel if teams particularly PAM, do things to ATTRACT these type of coaches, it's possible. PNG has updated field house and stadium(that vistors side needs some work lol). a community thats not fair weather, BOOSTERS!! as much as i don't care for PNG, they have HUNGRY PLAYERS thats not selfish. Heck they trying t get an INDOOR practice facility built. NO setx team has that lol. That will get people looking, especially if you are a team that's winning, but can't get over the hump because coaches themselves haven't been under THOSE lights. i believe nederland about to turn the corner and Monte gonna be on the way out. they are improving facilities and we know those kids got no quit. IMO, they need a coach. only thing i see stopping PAM from taking that nex step is the city itself cause as much as i love my town, it's gone to crap. the other thing is the district WONT spend money to improve anything. those same urinals and toilets been there since the 70's along with the concession stands. i know for a fact that field house probably has asbestos. oh i don't believe any starters would jump, but that back up that feels he can't get on the field and is a junior or soon to be senior might. i didn't wan to believe the things i her about PAM, but bruh smh. i know you not sitting on the vistors side as usual lol. it's gonna be hot and sold out!!
  14. well maybe i should have said "inspiration for this year". again, factors are NEW first year coach from a WINNING program. yet other teams are more talented and cant seem to do it with a staff and system that been in place for years. if PNG can, why not...fill in the blank any team??
  15. I think PAM might jump to d2...i'm hearing the district is begging to get kids registered.
  16. to be honest, PNG has or should have raised the bar for ALL golden triangle teams, even PAM. i say PAM even more so because even though PAM beat the breaks off them, PNG won the "race", "fight" or whatever analogy you want to use and was there at the big dance. while the rivalry isn't strong like MCM, it's beginning to rise. i know some PAM fans will point to PNG had an easier road. well from what i'm hearing and seeing, next realignment PAM might be D2 and i don't wanna hear no excuses. PNG proved my point many others stated in the past i was being sooooo negative. PNG brought in someone FROM OUTSIDE OF THE AREA with a winning formula, the kids bought into it and boom success. Keep going with the good ol boy system(TJ grads) and we gonna stay stagnant and fester. IF PNG GOES AT LEAST 5RDS DEEP, LOOK FOR A CRAP LOAD OF TRANSFERS FROM PAM TO BE AT THE REZ. I SAID IT HERE FIRST!!!
  17. glad to see local districts making upgrades...unfortunately, PAISD is cheap. When Memorial was formed, a new stadium was supposed to be built. So, it took a mud bowl in 2009 to get artificial turf and a new scoreboard cause the other one been up for decades.. Mind you pretty much all schools minus nederland and vidor were playing on turf prior to 2009. the same bathrooms are in place from when i was 6 years old and im 48 now. 3 stalls and a trough. oh they upgraded to urinals smh. same concession stand and food since the early 80's. iould have been happier if they would have flipped the home side to the vistors side. THAT SUN WILL BE KILLER NEXT WEEK!! i'm kinda disappointed i won't get to see nederland stadium because i'll be in destin for a class reunion trip. hopefully i can catch a game online and check it out.
  18. Yes I have. He subbed in for Wilson at times to catch his wind.
  19. seen this the other day on facebook lol...ol boy was like best burger ever!
  20. i feel ya on that bia!! i feel the same way about PAM, but hey if make the masses happy, i guess. problem i have with it is kids be reading their own press clippings and get donkey stomped by people that had no business. i still say PAM weak link is QB, unless we got someone other than the projected starter...
  21. PAM will go as far as the QB will take them and that's the big mystery...you can only hand it off to the backs so many times before the box stack up and the bubble screens to the fast wr's will only work for a little bit. QB got to show he can throw down field and make smart decisions. if it's a weak link for PAM, this is it. No transfer qb coming to save PAM this year.
  22. PAM also let off the gas and to be honest, coaching happened that game as well lol.
  23. imo, no. they are other players of recent to compare him to. no offense, but earl too old to be compared to a kid still in h.s. school. even though kary vincent played corner thats a good comparison and that might be too old lol.
