i live in lamarque, but from port arthur. since hurricane Ike, many people from south galveston co(galveston, hitchcock and lamarque) have moved more north. Dickinson seems to have taken all the talent. right after Ike, most headed for Manvel, Dawson  and some of the clear lake schools. i would say currently, Dickinson is the top dog in this area as of now.

exactly...after a 14 year drought of NO playoffs lol...imo, that game rejuvenated football in PA...well from a lincoln stand point. after that suggs came in.
 

7-3 was WOS record, and I still cant believe Warnell muffed that punt, I dont think he knew how fast Ricky was to get down there, that was a crazy sequence of events, crowd screaming go for it on one end then the muff, then the go ahead score. 

i know WO-S won't care, but the most PAINFUL loss i witnessed was when P.A. Lincoln beat wo-s. Now for those of you that don't know, this game was for the last PLAYOFF SPOT. WOS was 8-1 Lincoln was like 5-4 or 7-2...anyway the game was won on TWO fumbles by wos. after the game, wos players were seen visibly crying and the look on their face was shock. Lincoln had made it to the second round and got be by hallsville 21-14. WO-S was at home with an 8-2 record and that was crazy in itself.

Glad we have turf, doesn't get messed up cause of the heat or rain or heavy activity. 

didn't realize how many stadiums still have grass in this district.

IMO, with all the growth still pushing southward down 45, I think LM high school is going to kill itself off. every year it gets smaller and smaller while new schools and communities are being built 30 minutes away. would not surprise me if the school has 100-200 kids in it come next realignment.

Did I miss something?  Why would Mayfield not be playing for Nederland this year?
 

You're right, it could change, but probably won't vary that much. But there is a lot of talk right now about 6 and 5A being split into divisions like the smaller classifications. So that would change a lot. 

not really...when i was in high school, PA had three high schools with three classifications. the problem is we have been brainwashed into thinking a small school district have to have one high school. they can keep LM the way it is and still be absorbed. Texas City would have a 5a and a 3a...simple as that.

Be patient, the talk from media will come in abundance once Memorial starts winning games in this district. I just hope it doesn't get in their heads from top to bottom in the program. Remember, we're playing second fiddle to big ole Nederland. 

Uh, we actually spoke about Memorial but it was obviously cut out like a lot of our discussion did.

Better than those mid-90s teams?  I'll have to see it to believe it, those teams were great, just unfortunately ran into the SWOOSH. (LM)
