1. Hard to BELEIVE, however yes this Pony team is worse than last year.  That still equals a pretty good team, but have many more weaknesses than last year.  Other than the Qb, #1 and # 5, offense is lacking.  Pass defense was weak.  Ike had more team speed than Dayton, which was appearent watching the QB and receivers run around Dayton all night.  Still say Dayton beats BH because of BH's weaker defense.  If Dayton turns the ball over 3 times Bh will beat them too.  If BH throws the ball, Dayton may have their hands full. Good luck Dayton in post season, it's war time now.
 2. If you are from Dayton press "Alt" and "F4" so we know who you represent.  ???
 3. Jasper over WOS would be nice.
*snaps fingers* Aww you beat me to the Ohio line.. cause there isn't a JR High on 321 in Dayton Texas so has to be Ohio.
My mistake, my Dayton friends told me it was a junior high.  As with most Daytonians, I don't think any of them made it to High School to know the difference.  ;D
 6.
Livingston's announcer drove me crazy last year lol
You should hear the Huffman guy from 3 or 4 years ago.  I think the UIL/School tuned him up just a bit back then.
 7.
This is the easiest way to go. Might run into some traffic on 1960 and its not 290 south.. its 290 east [Hidden Content]    Oh and I would leave at 2  Just my opinion never know what you will run into between there and here.
He's not from Dayton, he will understand that he should not be going towards Austin to get to Dayton.  BrenhamFan, wave and smile at people as you pass them on hwy 90 or 1960 (whichever you choose).  When you see most their teeth are missing, you're there.  Now if you go down hwy 90, don't be confused and exit South at Hwy 90 and 2100, it's still another several miles down the road to the "East".  ;D ;D
 8.
I'm leaving Brenham at 2, so I dont get caught in Houston traffic.  What is there to do in Dayton to kill time, untill the game?  Never been to Dayton before, so I need some suggestions...  Anybody?
Good grief man, 2PM?  You don't live in Alaska.  Take 290 South to Beltway-8 (Sam Houston Toll road) around to Hwy-90 East.  There will be a few spots on the beltway, but traffic should not be too bad going that direction.  I would not get there too early, may be a bit dissapointed in your options......  ;D ;D ;D  Also, don't expect parking will be anywhere near the stadium.       Oh, bring your stadium seat!  Tail end is gonna hurt after sitting in those bleachers.
 9. Wonder if any Houston TV stations will carry the game?
 10. The slight water temperature change has got the fish moving.  Sylvan Beach area is hopping with reds and flounder.  Look for Kemah channel and the cuts and mouths of the intercoastal to be hot in the next weeks to come.  If you like Galveston get ready to dunk those mud-minnows around the rocks at sea wolf and on the beach front.  The bull reads are already being seen on an early monring bite out on the beaches.
Yeah it's hard to hang a loss as a negative when you play teams like that.  I look at putting up 20+ points on those teams as a victory, even though they lost.  Gonna be a tough test.  I'll be there to see it.
 12.
Surely you meen Jerry Browns hollow braid for offshore, Ive been useing Suffix 30lb braid for over a yr on all my reels including 2 E7s and 2 Stradics, I've recently switched to Fins 'Windtammer'  in 30lb, I have jerked several fish >out of the water when setting the hook with both Suffix and the Fins, no more problem getting a good hookset on flounders. You have to get used to it, the only cpl of drawbacks is its hard to cut along with being hard to breakoff but I do use a 20lb fluro leader so most of the time it'll break below the swivel, another thing is you'l have to lighten up your drag for specks to make up for the NO STRETCH you have with braid....
Good points.  Jerk too hard and you reel in lips.  My light tackle with braid is used a lot for jerking big bass out of mesquite and sage brush on Falcon lake in Zapata, Texas.  Mono just won't do the trick down there.  I also use smaller braid for deep crank baits because the line has a smaller diameter and less drag in the water.  I can get a DD-22 or Rapala Down Deep (older bait) down fast and deep with a 30-55lb braid.  Also helps to be able and pull it off a limb when needed.  As mentioned above, you feel everything since there is no stretch, so the craink bait feels like it's in on the end of your rod when reeling.  As stated, loosen the drag just a bit.

 15. Tyrone, They are asking about the football team silly! Sorry about that PNG Fan, he is from Dayton and very slow: Livingston Offense has 11 players Livingston Defence has 11 players  Livingston has 11 on Special Teams Hope that helps.  ;D

"Bessie") pulled up in a S-10 pick-up with a red hood, green left fender, and beige bed.  She had a fuzzy carpeted dash and a bed full of old tires.  She was wearing pink shorts that appeared to be cut-off warm-up pants, a white "wife-beater" shirt, no bra, cowboy boots, and purchased 2 bush beers.   * Next in line was a guy who was obviously drunk.  He stepped up to the cash register, then mumbled something and stepped (well stumbled) away.  I stepped up and paid for my ice while listening to him try and hold a meaningful conversation with a well dressed man who had his son with him.  I am guessing the well dressed man was trying to pass through Dayton and did not belong there. * While pulling out of the store parking lot, there was a very heavyset woman running accross the road carrying a small chile on her hip.  She had a plastic grocery bag uner her other arm.  She was wearing flip-flops that did not match and was yelling something to a guy accross the street.  The guy she was yelling too was a white guy who was wearing army boots, long camo shorts, and no shirt.  He was running back and forth in the yard pulling a bull-dog on a short rope.  The two got in a heated exchange and the guy appeared to be trying to get his dog after her.  There was another woman standing in the trailer door yelling somehting as well. * Around the corner I passed the school administration building and was to meet a friend who had invited me for dinner.  I have not seen this friend in a while, so was not sure what to expect.  I called his phone to see if I had my direction right, and unfortunately I did.  I was directed to a city housing project just down from the school administration building.  This did not exactly look like a place to be after dark, if you know what I mean. Upon arriving I found he, both his x-wifes, and numerous other people who were outside playing touch football.  After both his x-wifes flirted with me, I proceeded in the house, ate a steak and watched Survivor on his x-wife #2 60-inch LCD TV.   * After dinner I was worried about surviving the patch between her apartment to my car.  I went outside and felt much more comfortable.  There were 3 DPC cars, 4 Dayton police cars, and a few constables at the appartment accross the drive-way.  Upon leaving I rolled my window down and asked the cop who was talking to the car in front of me if I needed to stop for anything.  The cop laughed and said, boy that's a first.  Nobody stops from this place so we can see who's inside or what they are doing.   P.S.  The kids and adults playing football were not very good.      ;D ;D
Dang smoking baby, why you gots to be all reporting troof on my peoples and what not? So, while smoking baby was hanging out with my peoples in Dayton, I took a field trip to the realest hill in America.  Heres what I saw: It all started at their one stop light, the only stop light on the realest hill in America.  I next went to the Dollar General to pick up some of those fine BH women.  Apparently it was fat lady in sweatpants day."Score", I thought to myself, just my type.  Well not only was it fat lady in sweatpants day, it was a BH lady friend smorgas board.  The store had everything.  I'm talking meth monkeys, half the quarters population, and a passel of lonely housewives in gym clothes who go to the gym during the slow time of the day because of low esteem.  I had to get out of there, because let's be honest, Tyrone loves all dem ladies. So i took my beat up bicycle and started peddling down eagle drive.  I didn't see an eagle, crazy right? And believe it or not, I had deja vu: Those Barbers Hillarians had the same imported workers digging the same holes on the same road as they did 4 months ago.  I thought to myself, surely the realest hill in america would hold enough intelligence to complete a simple project on the only road leading to the only stoplight on their grand bump, but sadly, this intelligence is no where to be found. So I keep on peddling with one thought in mind, "I'm going to find smoking baby".  So I peddle through neighborhood after neigborhood and knock on every unfinished cookie cutter home that I can find.  I ask everyone that I see, where is smoking baby? They all point in the same direction.  I finally reach my destination, the humble abode of smoking baby.  This house looks exactly the same as every other house on the street with a few exceptions (namely the rainbow flags flying above every entrance).   So I knock on the door and who answers but "Bessie" holding a bull whip and a quart of motor oil. She was wearing pink shorts that appeared to be cut-off warm up pants, a white "wife-beater" shirt, no bra, and cowboy boots.  I should have put two and two together when i saw the S-10 pick-up with a red hood, green left fender, and beige bed with the fuzzy carpeted dash and a bed full of old tires. I walked away, with the sad realization that smoking baby's case of Dayton envy was so strong that he would stoop to stealing one of our fine Dayton women. The joke's on him though, that bruiser had a Crosby Cougars bumper sticker on her beat up S-10.
Thats some funny stuff Tyrone.  I was gonna eventualy mention the part about picking "Bessie" up at the Shell station, but decided to keep tight lips after someone said it was their wife.  I'll bring the raindow flag Friday and maybe we can swap Rick Flair stories.   ;D ;D ;D
How about that Santa Fe team , last place pick in 24-4a, pretty good team huh Barbers Hill!!
I am glad you broght that up.  I would not expect someone, other than WOS that is, to make such an uninformed post.  I am sure you based your opinion on a vast and complete knowledge of Santa Fe football after having watched them this year?  I can't beleive anyone being from WOS would hang much credit on pre-season predictions.  I mean if that held any water, WOS would have a State Championship every year.  I guess those predictions failed to make it as far as Wimberly, Kirbyville, Giddings, or Huffman?  As for your discredit of Santa Fe, I know they don't play such strong teams like WOS, but hey, not everyone does.  I mean Manvel, Friendswood, La Marque, Texas City, Dawson, and Ball are all push-overs right?    1. They are avereging over 300 yards per game. 2. The QB has near a 75% completion percentage.  By the way, that's the higest completion percentage in what has been touted as one of the top 2 4-A districts in the State and is 5th overall for completion yards, despite being a running team. 3. The 1st option at running back is ranked # 2 in the district, avergaing over 125 yards per game and has 4 rushing TD's in 3 games. 4. The back-up running back has 124 yards and is averging almost 10 yards per carry. 6. Their team is avergaing over 12-yards per catch receiving and alost 5-yards per rushing attempt.  Their #1 receiver is #8 in district and did I mention they run the ball a lot. 7. They are 3-0 in pre-district play, winning their last game 55-0 8. They are 4th in scoring for their district. 9. Of the top 18 defensive leaders in district, they have 4 players listed. 10. Of the top 7 district interception leaders they have 4 listed. 11. They are 2nd in team defense for the district. 12. They are 3rd in team scoring for their district. Do I need to go on? Oh, one other important point, Their offensive and defensive linemen finished 6th overall in the USA/Texas Linemens Challenge in July of this year.  Not to shabby for such a bad team.
Just for the sake of clarity.... you know fwstangs is a friendswood mustangs fan right???  I think he was speaking to the fact that you guys took it on the chin from a team that was picked to finish last in their district. Ok.. carry on.
Friensdwood....WOS......they are all "Stangs"......LOL  Same difference.  Friendswood's goign to get all they want of Santa Fe soon.
Ok- You were a Crosby fan cause you thought they were going to abuse Dayton this year and now Santa Fe is the new flavor why don't you just let go and  become a Dayton fan again you know you want to and then you'll have something to cheer about in post season.
I am a Dayton fan.  Matter a fact, I am a high school football fan.  Now I am not a WOS fan, but they don't count anyway.  I'll be there rooting for dayton or any other team derserving the honor of a BH fan's presence.  ;D ;D As for Santa Fe, al I am saying is they are much better than what people think.
