I always support our district teams in the post season and when we play 20-4A. You going to do the same for us?

You weren't at the game so I'll let your uninformed guess slide :P Crosby was good ,but they got more help from Dayton than their own team ! This year will be a different pony Dayton has a very talented team and will be at home looking for some payback. I do like Crosby's QB and he will be a hand full.
You would make a great WOS fan. "Had we not fumbled 20 times" "Had it not rained" "Had our coach done this" "Had...Had...Had....Had" You lost to a better team, just as BH did that night against GCM. Get used to it, you will lose again this year. Crosby is more talented and has a good coach. I don't like either, but they are what they are. ;)
lets get something straight last years win was a fluke of nature and we all know it, there is no way dayton loses to crosby and as far as crosby dominating 19-4a and 20-4a well that is far from the truth lol. You giving them too much credit for beating ned who almost didnt make the playoffs, and did i mention that we thumped them pretty hard by the tune of 37-7. But im not gonna dwell on last year, this is this year and i am ready to see how much improved the crosby squad is, whether or not they or worth the hype especially coming from a barbers hill fan lol go figure.
Hey I hate Crosby, but the fats is they will win this district. Sorry if that's hard for Dayton to swallow, but it's true. Not saying they blow Dayton out (AGAIN), but they will win district. Nobody in 20-4A will win against a 19-4A team this year or next.

Just spoke to a friend who has a kid in Santa Fe and he has been watching the team for years. Says the returning running back is a very good and can put up some yard/points in a hurry. Says there is no way they are last in district and he thinks they look better than they did last year at the same time. It's a tough district, so we will see.

Gona come watch this one since it's Thursday and right by house. Pulling for GCM so the pink shirts are sported by 20-4A. ;D

Goodness gracious, don't tick-off Crosby. They are already going to kick 19-4A and 20-4A in the tails.

Barbers Hill vs. Pasadena Memorial - Tonight
bh89-2 replied to bh89-2's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
The one thing I took from this scrimmage was the outstanding play by the new baseball coaches son at QB. He played quite a bit during the JV scrimmage and some during the varsity scrimmage. Dont recall his first name, but last name is Denny. Townley (sorry if I mispelled that) looked pretty good throwing the ball, but denny has far more quickness, better decision making, and overall athletic ability. McMillian seems to be a decent runner, but I did not see a QB in him as much as the others. Guess it's a good thing to have three to choose from. Pasadena was drastically bigger and than we were and their running backs were quite good. Pasadena also played very hard and physical football. Their lines pretty much whipped our tail all night, especially our offensive line. Got some work to do there. Defense did come with more intensity, which is nice to see. Bellard, McSwain, and Sexton looked good and #10 covered the pass pretty well. Overall the defense did well against a larger, faster team. Jury still out on offense and out line has to get more physical. We threw the ball well, but still have some work to do running the ball. Our interior running game was almost non-existent. We did run outside well, but I kept thinking, Dayton wont let that happen. Overall it's still something to grow on. Looked pretty good for a small 4-A school facing a larger and good 5-A team. -
I guess we will find out pretty quick here this year if the Ganders have anything at all or if it will be a long season. I would almost prefer to play Deer Park like in the past few years. lol Quandre Diggs might have the ability to make Lee look really bad all by himself. I will be out there though, and I will try to provide some updates.
Good luck. I think Lee is going to need it, as would most everyone else on here.

Barbers Hill vs. Pasadena Memorial - Tonight
Pasadena Memorial is always a tough, hard-nosed football team. I would imagine they will be able to smash mouth the ball on BH a little bit. It should be a good test for BH.
It's been a long time since BH has had the size they have this year. Depth might be another issue, but it is a scrimmage. Can't wait to see how this goes. New coach, new offense, new commitment to play hard-nosed defense. -

Thoughts? Mine: Pasadena Memorial is not excatly a push-over team. They went 6-1 in district last year, including beating LaPorte 42-35, beating Pearland 28-13, beating Rosenburg Lamar Consilidated 28-21, and beating Baytown Lee 51-37 1st round of playoffs. The one district loss came at the hand of Deer Park by a score of 16-3. They lost during the 2nd round of the playoffs 26-13 to Leage City Clear Springs. Those are some decent teams on that win list. I think BH has it's work cut-out.
