  1. I have been giving PNG heck since the BH game and I was wrong. Great win!!!!! Looks like your coach is really making things happen there and fast! Can we borrow your coach for a few years? Maybe he has not unpacked yet? We can make him feel at home and get him a house near an oil field over hear on The Hill. He'll think he is back in Midland/Oddessa. ;D
  2. Good game and great sportsmanship on both sides. Dayton made adjustments and BH waited too long. BH lost their running back early in the first after a few good runs, hope he is OK (looked like sprained ankle). BH had the players to win this game, but you can't play your pass defense with them starting 15-yards deep. Stewart saw it and ran one 6-8 yard curl rout after another for 4-quarters. The BH offense waited till 7 minutes left to start trying to score, much too late. Stewart has got to be laughing all the way home. Another coaching clinic for BH.
  3. Great football weather.........FINALLY. For Ranger83 it's, gran tiempo de futbol or maybe it's ;nuestro equipo de futbol chupa ;D ;D ;
  4. Not trying to be sarcastic here, but I think that has something to do with "special needs" students. Liberty used to claim a lot more than they actually had so they could keep their enrollment numbers down. I am guessing you might get more money for a "special needs" student too. I may be WAY WRONG here, but that is what I was told.

  6. Yes, between the "smugness" and having the majority of the residence speak the English language I find BH a very difficult place to live.....
  7. After seeing Dawson last year, they could beat any team on this list. They are loaded will skill position tallent. I take one of the Dawson 0-lineman and his dad fishing offshore. The kid is about 6-6 or 6-7 and 320 or more as a junior. His dad was a receiver/defensive back for Kansas. They have some athletes in that area and they start early. Good team.
  8. I sure hope your right. Would be great to play teams with an actual fan base. PNG has more fans on 1 night than all the teams we play, except Dayton and Crosby combined.
  9. # 2 I think # 1 needs no discussion......kind of common sense.
  10. Let's hope he is OK. Never want to see anyone hurt, nor do we need any excuses after BH beats Dayton by 40...... ;D OK, I'll come back down to reality..... by 20.... ;D Seriously, hope is is Ok and plays.
  11. Absolutely! I am SURE I can find pleanty of people to help him pack too. Wonder if he would travel with "his team" to their games?
  12. This game will either be a blow-out or a battle. Three things will determine which it is, turnovers, defense, and coaching. BH has already lost one of those three battles before the game starts.....want to guess which door that answer is behind? Dayton 35 BH 10
  13. OK, I came over here to give PNG some credit for this win. I Have been riding you pretty hard since the BH game and this was a quality victory. I am now having to change my previosu prediction, PNG will lose 3 not 4...... ;D ;D Just picking.......
  14. Thank you WOS. At least I got this pick-em right after losing both the BH and Dayton pick. What a night of upsets....... :'( By the way, dang PAM, what's up with that ??? ???
  15. What happened to you last night? Me and BHFan went down at half time and bought you nachos and you never showed. They lady at the concession stand said they named the nachos after our head COACH's offense "Cheesy" Nachos. You didn't miss much, the rain pretty much ruined the chips after about two steps..... Great win for GCM......!!!!!!
  16. I never thought I could find such great pleasure from a loss, but you guys are making my day. Couple points and I'll let some of the new folks who are finally seeing the light take over: 1st - The "coaching" style you see from the BH staff, especially Price is and has been typical since he arrived. He IS NOT a leader. He does a wonderful job of managing the funds and programs overall, but he is not a leader or head football coach...period. 2nd - You are right, the coaches did not throw interceptions or drop passes, however when the wind os blowing 20-30 mph and the rain is falling at 1-2 inches per hours, your freaking game plan better not be to throw the football 30-40 yeards down field. That's a play calling issue, which is the coaches. Sure there better be a few reads to chose from, however our receivers were not running crossing patters, screens, etc and we chose the wrong guy. How many 3 and outs did you see where we threw the ball every down. Fact is last two game, as with other game, we run when we should pass and we pass when we should run. 3rd - The boys looked completely lost last night and unprepared. That translated into what appeared to be a lack of overall effort. That starts with coaching and they looked even more lost and unwilling to coach/lead through what was obviously a very bad game plan for the weather we all know was coming. OK, that's my rant and it won't change this year or any other year until we get rid of goober. When that day comes, and it will, get ready for one heck of a celebration and I will feed all of chambers county BBQ........ Yes, there will be BEER Ranger83....... ;D ;D
  17. Congrats to Crosby and GCM......and Ranger83...... ;D Well, I just figured out if we put a little Tabasco and jalapeno in the crow stew it is pretty good. Actually since Price took over I have a very lengthy Crow Cook Book if anyone wants to borrow a few ideas.
  18. Rain is gone.....woo hoo! Finally football weather.
  19. What was the weakness though? Your poll specifically mentions PNG has a weakness? So what is it? Is it the fact that PNG threw the ball for 270 yds? Is it the fact that they wore the Ned. Defense down in the 2nd half with hard nose, north and south running by Harmon? Is it the fact that PNG is now +12 in turnover margin? If you are going to make a blanket statement like that, you got to support it with some factual basis. 1/2 half nederland controlled the game that is essentially what I was referring too. I wasn't at the game and had to rely on what I read about it. PNG and Ned posters were saying things like: "Who said a deep playoff team? I just hope we get to the playoffs" PNG fan "Dogs did outplay PNG. Turnovers hurt. Hopefully the bring the same intensity to the 2nd half. Defense held Harmon to around 40 yards, including long run" "IMO they've been wishy washy" PNG fan "We must play better all around if we expect to make the playoffs. I believe Faircloth knows that as he said we must play better...I was really disappointed by how undisciplined we played as a team. Must play better from here on out." PNG fan "This game could've turned ugly but PNG made several bone head mistakes." PNG fan "The Indians will have to step it up to make the playoffs, they have the talent." Ned fan "If not for turnovers who knows what might happened.. Indians must stop killing ourself with penalties..." PNG fan I believe all of those statements to be honest assessments of PNG. They are a solid team with work to do. They have played a weak schedule to date and weren't overly impressive against a very short handed Nederland team. Maybe my opinion is harsh but I will be the first to change it once PNG beats Central or Vidor. Don't worry about it. It's just the hup poll. All the triangle gurus will have you ranked 2nd. Hup, I'm not worried. I know this is just your opinions. It just seems like NO ONE in this area is giving PNG any credit whatsoever. Which seems to always be the case. When the Indians win.... people always are quick to jump on the "refs were slanted towards PN-G", or "They have played a weak schedule". It has happened every year I can remember. In 1999, everyone was quick to point out that as good as Long was... he wouldn't be able to carry a weak team deep in to the playoffs. Yet, they made it to the big dance. Even after hard fought wins, people said they didn't deserve to be there, were "Lucky" to be there and would be dismantled by Stephenville. The Indians have always been the team that people love to hate. IMO - PN-G needs to continue to execute the plays and improve on the penalties. Focus on the task of winning a district title and not get drawn in to the hype (or lack thereof). Well I guess Stephenville and PNG have more in common than I thought....We are definitely the team people love to hate in North Texas. Heck, I'm sure your head coach even hates us ....Anyways, PNG has a great coach, even if he is from Brownwood.. , and he will keep the program headed in the right direction. They are always well coached. It's a quality program, always has been.
  20. Uh, that's not a can opener......... ;D He's from West of the Trinity, things are bigger over here...... ;D
  21. Hey Ranger, I thought of you when I saw this quote.... ;D Don't forget to get some nachos tonight, they may be a bit soggy. "Hope is the last thing a person does before they are defeated." - Henry Rollins
  22. “When men are most sure and arrogant they are commonly most mistaken, giving views to passion without that proper deliberation which alone can secure them from the grossest absurdities†David Hume You mean this is not "deliberation" ;D Only BHFan post messages that are not completely founded out of emotion. For me, it's much easier to say things like WOS Sucks, Dayton Sucks, Crosby Sucks, etc...... That leaves room for interpretation and I guess some "deliberation" too. ;D Mr. Hume would be proud.
  23. Dang, another Crosby graduate....... welcome. well gotter run, dem der dennur gunna bern.
  24. Hey that's not too bad, especially the small schools. Got to save these and see how they end the year. I figured it would be a homer poll....
