BH wins if the weather loses. If it rains and BH does not run a balanced attack, we need to be careful with GCM. Their running back can move and could score quickly. If both team can throw the ball, BH wins BIG. GCM does not make smart decisions when passing the ball under pressure. BH has much more team speed than does Crosby, so I think defensively we are better against the type of team GCM is and will cause problems for the QB. BH needs to pressure the QB and the linebackers will need to play well. GCM needs to run the ball successfully up the middle to win. I can sure remember a lot of duck BH has laid on Homecoming. Hopefully this is not one of those time. Be nice to us fans Mother Nature.

In this quote lies the problem! way to support your program TEL.... could this mentality be filtering down to the Kids?? if they are doing what you say; putting their heads down when the first time it goes bad, saying they can't beat them, and then blaming the coach? this is the same mentality of the above statement.!!!! Is this what you want to teach our kids? If it is going to be tough, quit and don't worry about it and blame someone else????? Victory happens in the mind first......Instilling disbelief will crush a team, on and off the field. Email sent already. 5A/4A Poll 1st Dayton - May not be a #1 team, but have to be beaten first. 2nd Vidor - Strong running game makes the difference 3rd Lumberton - Very efficient team, can be top 2 if they don't turn ball over 4th West Brook - Overated team in my opinion, but will give them a one week nod 5th Central - Always plays hard and has athletes. 6th BH - Has potential if they run a balanced offense. Should have beat PNG by 3-4 TD's and one call/play away from beating lumberton. Poor coaching keeps them form a 3-4 spot. 7th Memorial - just a big school with big guys 8th Livingston - A sleep in district. Will take out PNG this week. 9th PNG - Overated team who has only played decent teams very early, been the benefit of misfortunes, or played down teams. Gave them a 9 for coaching effort. 10th Crosby - Team sucks but has athletes. Can beat a team that turns the ball over. 3A/2A/1A/Privates Poll 1st Jasper - Playing well this year and has had the strongest schedule of any team in the region. 2nd WOS - They suck, but have good coach, athletes, and other teams fear them. They are overated, but since coach is from BH he gets some props. 3rd Newton - dominate every year, even when down. 4th Kirbyville - plays harder than any team on this list. 5th Silsbee - plays above their ability. 6th Evadale - hot little team this year 7th Coldspring - surprisingly good this year 8th Cleveland - doing well, but still can be beat 9th Anahuac - one or two Div-1 players can make the difference. 10th Orangefield - playing good for a tough district

I think Hup is right about PNG. They have yet to play any teams that are either good or playing well at the time PNG played them. Fact is the only team with a winning record they have played is BH and everyone knows about the BH turnovers and PNG fans admit they were dominated in that game. Even with several BH turnovers PNG only won by 1-point. Not considering BH, look at this: PNG is undefeated. There wins are: Crosby who has 3 wins and 2 L. Crosby's only wins were against bad teams, such as GCM, King-Park, and CE King. PNG's best win so far. Texas City who is down this year and has only won 1 game against a very bad alvin. LCM who is 0-2 in district, 2-3 on year and only wins are against a 3-A cleveland (who is not living up to their hype) and Bridge City who is not good at all. Nederland - well enough said. One win this year against a waller team who has not won a game. Make no mistake, PNG will NOT beat Lumberton, Vidor, or Central this year. I'll bet you a shake on it and Hup will buy.....

After Jasper plays Carthage that would mean Jasper has played the #1 team Gilmer #2 Carthage and #3 WO-S in the state. That is impressive. Can't remember that happening before. Don't tell anybody Hup, those WOS pollsters might have to move Jasper ahead of Newton. They are still recovering from moving WOS down and just can't take a Jasper step-up right now.

So, how many stadiums do not allow umbrellas? Galena Park has a sign at the entrance, "NO Umbrellas". Lord knows we are due for our annual gully-washer game.
