9-0 Top 6 BH still batting. Our best ERA pitcher and best or 2nd best hitter Thamn. BC saved their best too. Ross is normally a sure win, however his pitching has been dictated by scouts and that is sad. We still have 3 more who are VERY good.

LCM is no Lamar. Lamar is a VERY good team and very under the radar. If BH gets past Bay City, Lamar could be a very tough series.

BH getting hammered again. 10-1 still in 3rd. Ross Hales pulled in 3rd Johnathan Kelly pitching. Ross arm just not there, seems to be worn down from too much district work or he's injured.

Yes I have fished and hunted it many times. The lake used to be privately owned, but is now owned by the US Corps. of Engineers. If coming from Dayton on FM 1409 GO PAST the lake on your left and you will come to a sharp right hand turn with a road to the left. The road have numerous hourses on it, but it is the access road for the lake. Take this road and it will dead-end into the lake on your left. At the end of this road the Corps. has a put in a boat ramp that is pretty good. The lake in general is very shallow and during the summer has a lot of hydrilla and Aligators. You can put a full size bass boat in the lake, however there is really not enough room to run it and a smaller boat with a troll motor is sufficient. I don't know if they have limited the HP of the motors yet or not, but you won't need a gas motor. Bass are pentyful and during the spawn Crappie around cypress knees are good. Catfish are good in the deeper holes, manly at the Damn end. Most bass are in the 1lb pound range with a few larger ones mixed in. When the Trinity is out of flood dtage the river will splill into this lake. There are a few scum-bags from the Trinity River Bottoms that come down there from time to time so I would not leave my vehicle parked overnight. One note, when you get to the end of the road where the lake is, there is a bayou on your right. That is Picketts Bayou and access to the bayou from the right side fo the road is a private fishing and hunting club. Stay to the left at the end of the road and the lake is free fishing for all. If you want to fish Picketts, you have to acces it from Trinity river and it requires a small boat and some luck that there is not a log jam. Picketts is very good fishing. Picketts and Champion used to be joined, however Picketts was damned at the end fo the road mentioned above and this created Champion Lake. I am all over dinner..... ;D ;D Maybe we can get BHFAn to ride along and if NEEDED we can probably let our friend form Huffman ride..... ;D ;D Of course he's got all that money and the new truck so maybe we ride with him. ;D As already stated, BH is having a tought stretch here suddenly. Hopefully we pull together as a team and put together a streak of wins. Thing with Bay City is they have some real speedsters and can really hurtn you with the base running. BH has got to hit the ball from here on out or we go home early this year. Hopefully the pitching staff gets focused and performs like they are capable of. BH in 3 games.

Spirits not down here, trust me. One of the best pitching staffs in the State, if they focus on pitching and not girls and coaching decisions. If we hit we win State, if we don't we lose round 1 or 2. Of course that depends on 1 or 3 game series and in a 3 game series we win.

Not a suprise here. GP has a good team and a far site better than anyone they will see round one. I predict this district will sweep the "best distict in the world" and it is very possible BH may lose round 1 or 2. BH has not had the consistent offense against decent pitching all year. Quite frankly Ross has been over-pitched all year, even when not needed. The best ERA on the team and one of the best offensive players is Thamn and he is waiting in the dugout for the playoffs. Personally I would throw Ross to start and let Thamn clean-up. Good luck in the playoffs Eagles.
