Congrats from BH to Lumberton. All the smack you guys have taken all these years from PNG, Nederland and Central......you deserve it! Go win district and you can likely kick out tails 1st round. We are used to a first round loss, so no hard feellings. I wish Vidor was right behind you in 2nd, that would be too good.

Would be good to see a playoff match up with Friendswood and BH. Since we stink in Football this year gives us something to do.

I am pulling for the EAGLES, but this one is just too close to call. Crosby has a lot of talent in the skill positions and we will need to keep Crosby's offense off the field. This is likely a playoff sot game. Galena Park is in that 3 team mix for district.

Yes, and your not good enought to be in the top 10. It only took them 3 years to finally figure that out...go figure. ;) -
The metal detectors is one thing, but Smiley and Forest Brook are trying to biuld a new school with the snack bar. 6.50 for nachoes and a coke. The 50 cents was an extra charge for the peppers. No Kidding. P.S. Beat-M Eagles!

UHHHH, YES! Nederland beat Brenham....remember? Bay City is OK, however they are no state contender. WO-S fans are just looking for some way to build-up their average team. Kirbyville might just tak them this year.

Cuero vs Liberty Hill..Liberty Hill Rolls

They take a small team with no obvious super stars and run the ball all over their competition. They run a WING-Tee offense (3-back set) and there is so much misdirection, you never know where the ball is. The most impressive running game I have seen, bar none. Fun to watch and almost impossible to stop, especially when you have no practice defending against it. -
I watched all 4 boring quarters of this ugly game. No offense on either side and a ton of penalties. LM and Pearland are both down from last year. Both teams had good speed on defense, which had something to do with the score, however neither team passed the ball enough to see what they had. Lamarque had a 3 point lead and 4 minutes to go in the game and for no good reason threw a hell mary pass 50 yards down field and had it picked off. Pearland could not do anything with the opportunity and lost the game. Again, no real treat watching this one. I think Nederland would beat LaMarque if they meet in the playoffs.

They have a few people they sponsor, but they mainly sponsor Tournament trails and fishing clubs. Really nice people. I have got to know them very well over the past 3 years. They are in tight with Roland Martin and Doug Hanna, as well as the Bass Pro Shops owner and BASS Founder. -

*TROPICAL DEPRESSION 10/TRACK UPDATES*

Impact Weather Forecast Updated: Wednesday, September 19th 2007 5:23am CDT Tropical Disturbance 50 moved very slowly westward overnight and is now located near the coast of Florida just north of Miami. Pressures in that area continue to fall, though the disturbance remains disorganized. Little has changed as far as our thinking overnight. We expect the disturbance to move across south Florida today and emerge into the eastern Gulf on Thursday. By Thursday, wind shear should be slowly relaxing, and it's likely that a tropical depression will form. High pressure to the north from Thursday through Saturday should result in a west to west-northwest movement at 7-10 mph during that period. We're still not sure how strong the high pressure will be yet, so our confidence in the eventual landfall remains low. The European model, which has done very well so far this season, is forecasting that high pressure will remain strong enough to steer the developing storm westward all the way to the mid Texas coast on Sunday. Most other model guidance indicates landfall from the upper Texas coast to southeast Louisiana. Our thinking is that the most likely track would be toward the upper Texas coast to the mid Louisiana coast with landfall as early as noon Saturday, but possibly as late as Sunday. As for intensity, current model guidance suggests very slow strengthening up until landfall. We do not expect rapid intensification at this time due to the presence of an upper-level low to the west of the developing storm. This low will likely impart wind shear for at least the next several days. But we do think that there is a good chance that the storm could reach hurricane strength prior to its eventual landfall. -
BH does bring a lot of fans, but PNG brings the house, regardless of records. Even in Baseball, they always have a large crowd. Man, all that Purple..... Someone mentioned Katy, well YES they are in a league of their owwn when it comes to fan support. Kind of like a Bridge City game on Steroids.....freaking RED everywhere.

Budweiser Sharelunker Season 22 Begins Oct. 1

The uneducated fishermen are usually the problem in most tournaments. What they do or do not do have a big impact on the mortality rates. The rates on a good day are usually 5-8%, so everyone involved really has to do their part. Stress begins when you set the hook and can continue to accumulate 2-3 days after release. As for adult redfish, we have had issues transporting them. They denerate a lot of biological waste and are prone to gill and skin diseases/bacteria. If your doing a lot of redfish tournaments I highly suggest you look at Sure Life Products. www.sure-life.com They have some of the best products on the market and are really on the cutting edge. They are now working with the US Fish and Game Administration doing a number of studies that are really going to help mortality rates in these tournaments and with fish care for the hatcheries. -

There is already a significant long standing program for Redfish hatcheries. The problem with transporting mature Redfish is far more complicated than freshwater (Bass). Mature Redfish stress easily and are very sensitive to temperature changes. Most would likely die before or during transport. Not to mention the watwer quality used to transport fish is far more difficult to maintain than fresh water. With Freshwater you control ammoina, oxygen and carbon dioxide and your usually good. Soe are using chemicals to sedate fish that are also helpful in reducing stress. -
Anyone joining us in Zapata (Falcon lake) next weekend for the Top 8 State Tournament? September 28 registration Tournament September 29-30. Lake producing lots of good fish and the lake is almost full. Texas Association of Bass Clubs T.A.B.C.

I have a big tournament on Rayburn next month myself and have not fished the lake in over a year. Rayburn is always a Red bait lake, so I guess I'll start with that. The lake was very low last time I was there, so need to find some new water. Most importantly, need to find 2 days with a 25-28 lb average. Come on Kicker Fish! Guess October should be ok around Deer Stand, Jackson Hill Islands, Shirley Creek. Any other ideas?

Barbers Hill Vs. Forest Brook Predicitions ?
bh89-2 replied to ORW8624's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
We are in likely the worse 4A district in the state. Forest Brook is one of the reasons for that assumption. I assume even a young BH team will beat Forest Brook. -
Who were they playing? That has a lot to do with it being OK or not..... ;D ;D

Sore losers......and leave my post alone. -
Yeah, not the smartest move ever. Took a while to get the fish tired enouhg to get a hold. Yesterday went out of Galveston after doing a quick bottom job on the boat. Picked up 4 knots...YEAH!!!! Report: 9/16/07 My lucky can was sitting in 4 footers and the current was ripping. No Ling yesterday. We hit several standpipes and a few rigs looking, but no brown fish swiming around. Slid over to Candycane rigs and picked up 4 limit of snapper on two different rigs. Had one blacktip about 5 foot. Only fished a few hours due to the late start after the bottom job. Coast Guard boarded us in the pitch black dark and stayed on board for 1-1/2 hours. No fines or tickets. They thought our running lights were out.......GEEZ! Very late getting home.
