  1. OK, there ya go.....now I got to chime in on that one. Yes BH ran the screen and the QB draw so many times I thought they must have lost the rest of the play book. The problem with the screen passes they ran was it was a wide-out screen 99% of the time and it took too long to develop. After week 2 the defensive backs/corners played up on the line and would jump that play and caused problems. One other problem is we ran it a lot in single coverage with no blocking down field for the receiver. Mason was big enough to shake a tackle, but often help arrived by the time he did. Last year they did line up 3 backs to one side and ran 3 short routs that did allow for blocking, which did work ok. BHFAN is likely referring to the running back screen over the middle which is just what the doctor ordered when you get a blitz or over agressive defense. Add a slant rout inside the 10 and we could be in business. Way to go Eagles! I admit I was VERY suprised by this outcome. Bellville is a tough team and better than anyone we have seen this year.
  2. Do they have Two in the area? ;D ;D ;D Did you hand out ballots at football games? Just kidding Coop....congrats.
  3. All that schooling and that's your forecast...... ;D ;D ;D Heck, let me run at it here: Hurricane Humberto will move West North West over the next several hours with imrpving conditions expected by early Thursday morning. Mostly cloudy skys will remain with scatters showers through Thursday. Chances of rain will decreae over the next few days with partly cloudy skys expected Friday. P.S. Fishing conditions REALLY suck 22 miles East of Galveston right now so stay the heck out of your flat bottom boat.
  4. Planned a deep trip out of Freeport Monday and due to potential bad weather we opted for bay fishing. Left Texas City Dike and hit Hannas reef for a few reds and trout. Left Hannas went through Intercoastal over to Galveston. Picked up two really BIG Tripletail under floating grass at the end of the Jetties. Hit a floating can 1-mile out of Galveston (my lucky Ling spot) and caught 3 ling biggest 45 lbs. Did I mention we were bay fishing? Yes, we had NO GAF, and the best reel was a curado on a trout rod. Took over an hour to land the 45 lb ling and had to run my hands in his gills to toss him in the boat. A real FISHING RODEO if you've never done that. ;D ;D All in all: 4 trout, 3 reds, 2 triple-tail, 3 ling. 30 gallons of fuel.... ;D ;D By the way, if you fish the Galveston Jetties and want to catch a ling PM me and I'll tell you how to find my lucky can.
  5. Amen to that !!!!!!!! All those on the BHFAN hater's waggon he is the optimistic one......Trust me on that.
  6. Hup you coming over tonight?
  7. Wheatley in this one, close game though.
  8. I am REALLY suprised you can recount all those numbers considering the length of time that you have had to recall WOS's last State Championship...... ;) By the way, were did your head coach go to High School????? ;D
  9. Hey there friend. Good to hear from you too. ;D ;D ;D Maybe one day these two team will play a real game......hopefully. ;D If they do let's go Aligator hunting...... ;D
  10. He said "BH won't let ya get deep" yeah right ! Ask WOS about that. He said, "they don't throw the ball much." The QB looks pretty darn good this year and threw 3 TD's last week. We had no rushing TD's. We did have more rushing yards, but still had almost 100 passing yards. How's New Caney looking this year Gringo?
  11. Better sharpen yout tom-toms, Crosby has some talent. ;D ;D Crosby by 6
  12. Had to go there didn't ya???? ;D ;D ;D I still have my Jasper Sux shirt if anyone wants it from the puppy pound. ;D ;D BH by 2 TD's minimum.
  13. Boy, Brooks must have been watching the New Caney Eagle or some other team. None of that was an accurate statement.
  14. What was that BH vs. Santa Fe score again?
  15. Sure wished they had a crow ICON. ;D ;D ;D
  16. Nederland in barn burner. Forest Brook is bad.
  17. Maybe they should run a large pilot in 4A/5A first, then move to the smaller schools. I like having 2 state championships, more exposure for the kids who might have college opportunities and more football for the fans.
  18. Go Kirbyville......!!!!! Better?
  19. I watched Crosby play Atascosita and Crosby looked very good. They are very balanced and have some very good skill players. PNG better be able to put people in the passing zones that can get to the ball. Crosby has a couple receivers that are 6'-0" plus and are very athletic. The Crosby QB and running back did pretty good too. Before you say "it was Atascosita"! Atascosita looked pretty darn good and they had a very big O-Line. Crosby dominated them. I know it's at the T-Pee, but I have to go with Crosby by 7-10.
  20. He walked off the field on his own, so hopefully not too bad. That was the saving grace for WOS or it would have been 40 BH - 0 WOS.... ;D
  21. Kirbyville this year. WOS 2nd. Silsbee or Jasper 3rd.
  22. I watched LaMarque in two playoff games last year and they are VERY good. Sorry PNG, but this is going to get ugly quick. No worries though, Nederland is in for a long night day well. Great fan bases though! Hopefully they sell Beer again this year..... ;D P.S. No freaking barking in Reliant....geez!
  23. You stand corrected again......he got two things right. He went to BH instead of WOS. That's why he could read that post and you could not. ;D ;D ;D I know, you guys really missed us for the last few months while were were playing in the baseball playoffs. ;)
  24. Dayton 28 WOS 0 BH won't make playoffs this year, so we will just have to remain 0-1 in first round. GO KIRBYVILLE !!!!!!
  25. BH played their JV against WOS last night. The varsity was out of town watching a movie (White Man Can't Jump). Boy we need help in the secondary. There were at least 5 or 6 balls that should be intercepted. WOS had a couple really tall receivers who will do well. WOS running back looked good. BH QB looked good and the lines did well for BH. I see the WOS coaching staff still can't keep their pie-hole shutt. Man their mouthy. Guess your staff can act a fool when you get a concrete stadium named after you. Oh, what's with the WOS fans and coaches standing out on the field during the simulated game play. Throw the flag ref, geez! Hooks rymes with crooks....right? ;D
