Yawn! <stretch> That was a good hybernation! But now it is time to get back at it full steam! And as it has been for the past few years, part of that is the much anticipated team previews! We'll, as always start them on July 1 and release those daily until the start of the first week of scrimmages. IT'S GO TIME, FELLAS (and ladies, too!)!!!!
Just for the record, we all voted not to include OctFeb in the "Ladies" category...... ;D ;D She's now pretty much just Chicken Woman now. ;D ;D -
UIL Restricts Full Contact Practices During Season
bh89-2 replied to Bobcatfan4life's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Heck, I get a longer beating on here every week than that. ::) ::) Heck we had a coach put us out on i-10 coming home from Anahuac and made us run to the school from there because we laughed at him hitting the DQ with the bus. Ran over the top of the old Trinity River bridge and all the way to BH. Parents back then said, well should not have laughed. Now they sue if Johnny is not getting what he wants. -
We are 80 days away from the start of the Texas High School Football Season and today is..... Kamehameha Day Aloha! It’s Kamehameha Day! In Hawaii, today is a public holiday that celebrates Kamehameha the Great—the monarch who established the unified Kingdom of Hawaii in 1810. During this time period, Hawaii was the only nation that remained independent while the rest of the Polynesian islands were taken over by colonial powers. Kamehameha was nicknamed “the Napoleon of the Pacific†for this achievement. To celebrate Kamehameha Day, Hawaiians attend carnivals, floral parades, and horse races. There is also a large hula competition that attracts hula companies from all over the world.
If you put on one of those hula skirts I am going to jump off the rainbow bridge wearing my Dayton Sucks shirt.......just sayin.... ;D ;D

The bottom part is all that matters, BH moving on up, Nederland moving on down. Which I guess is already proof i the pudding considering Nederland can't beat BH. ;) ;) -

Offshore Dates - *****NEW PICKS ADDED*****
bh89-2 replied to bh89-2's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Well, despite being out of season, we missed the state record gag yesterday by a few pounds. Only ran 20 miles due to the terrible weather that was approaching the coast. Only made a couple offshore drops, but did get some nice bull reds in state waters. LOTS of rescues going on out there yesterday. We ven ended up allowing 2 small boats to fall in behind our wake and follow us close to shore. All together in 2 hours, some out of season and released: 54 lb Gag Grouper 2 Snapper 1 kingfish 7 tagged bull reds (all the tags we had) several pesky sharks 1 trigger fish -
Nah, never lived there, but have wandered off-course a few times and caught ya'lls fish. We relocate them down here in BH as to make our fish really dumb. Makes them easier to catch. ;) ;) Same principle worked when I was in High School and the boys went out looking for girls. Dayton and Anahuac were just full of easier to catch fare...... ;D ;D Can't even imagine what it must have ben like in Nederland or PNG. Probably drop the tail gate and they just jump in. ;D ;D

A buddy and I would like to experience a high school football game and saw that Nederland was playing near we're we'll be. Can someone help out and explain how I can get a ticket for the game? Do games usually sell out? Thanks for your help... I'm looking for a real Texas experience and you can't do that without seeing a game. Darren
Call the Vidor Ticket office. They usually realease, OH 4 or 5 for each game. ;) ;) On a serious note, save your 12 bucks and just drink beer with the rednecks accross form the stadium. Can't miss them, there will be a disco ball and a BBQ pit in the front yard. Look for the 60 years old dude in spandex barking like a dog. ;)
Darren, if you want to see a team that can get past the first round of the playoffs more than once a decade, come to Nederland. If not, you could always go watch Barbers hill lose.
HAHAHAHA went from a Ned/Vid thread.... to a Ned/Vid/PNG thread... now has expanded to a Ned/Vid/Png/BH thread.... LOL this thing keeps growing at this rate and there won't be but 1 thread for football this year hahahahaha
That's because we will all be talking about Summer Creek. ;) ;)

Summer Creek Domination? Nederland Domination?
bh89-2 replied to snafu's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Nederland will lose 3 games before the end of district. Haines, Raynes, Froot-of-the looms or whatever his name is was their offense. He's gone. They lost their defence and Vidor controls their ticket sales. ;)
