Hopefullly my bud Westend1 knows where this boat ramp is at.  I have searched google maps high and low for tram road and a boat ramp near a bridge.  One question, is there any rules against putting 6-8lb fish in a basket a few days early and then weighing them?    ;D ;D ;D  That's the way they do it in Dayton.  ;)

Now you all know we have better things to do than spend time in those playoff games.  The fish are getting ready to bite and hunting season is near.  Can't be waisting time and gas running all over the State.  It's just not right having to listening to an entire stadium chant like an indian, barking like a dog, or saying "We are........ Woosh" like some gang of hoodelums.  ;D ;D  Nah, we win district then head to the lakes, bays and woods.  ;)

So when is this tournament?  Date? 

Helpful info for you guys fishing the summer tournament.  This will help you with fish care: * Freeze a few 2-liter bottles full of water to keep in livewell.  Ice bags have chlorine in the water and can harml your fish.  A couple 2-liter bottles will last you about 3-4 hours, depending on water temp.  Ideal water temp is 68-70 DegF.    * Buy you a small bottle of surelife live well additive from Academy.  If they have the blue lid formula, that's best.  It has good stuff for the fish, water cleaner (removes ammonia from bio-waste), as well as a tranquilizer that will calm the fish.  Don't be alarmed if the fish look very still, long as they are not belly-up. * You can add a few ounces of hydrogen peroxide to the water to raise the dissolved oxygen in the water. It won't hurt the fish and no it does not burn the gills.  *  Spend a few hundered bucks and buy an oxygen tank, regulator, and diffuser.  It makes a huge difference.  Devices like the Oxygenator have a limited effect if you have a large stringer of fish and/or the water is hot. If your not using a tank additive, flush your live well will fresh water frequently, but be mindful if the water surface temp if over 83F.  Keeping the water cool is a good thing. 

Late september or October are great months on Falcon.  If someone wants to go but is worried about fishing Falcon or just needs info, give me a shout. 

OK, here is a couple pics from weekend.  I posted a few others from 2 years ago, which was last trip down there. One picture is of fish that did not make it in a tournament so I brought them home to clean.  NO I didn't kill a bunch of big fish, I ALWAYS release larger fish that I don't need for tournament weigh-in.  95 degree water and people that don't know what they were doing killed our fish.    [url=[Hidden Content]] [url=[Hidden Content]] [url=[Hidden Content]]

Well, getting some tower work done on offshore boat, so headed down to Falcon Sunday to catch a few bass and see if my bass fishing skills have not washed off with the salt water.  Lake was 31 feet low and dropping, which is not uncommon for Falcon, and the wind was blowing about 15-20 out of South.  We decided to hire a guide since the boat has not been pulled in almost 2 years and was worried about wheel bearings and water pump.  Fished with Jay Geishaw - 956-754-0626 and what  a nice guy and great guide.  Highly recommend him!  We fished between 7AM and 11:30AM. Flipping brush hogs, jogs, and super flukes (any natural color) into hard timber near ditches and deep water on the Mexican side.  Also some fish holding on submerged bridge in Valeo. Watch for the bridge though because it's only 3 feet below surface and is likely going to be hazard in the next week or so. Catch Report: 1 fish lost over 10 lbs (rod broke and bushed got me) 5 fish between 8 and 9 lbs 4 fish between 6 and 7 lbs several over 5 many between 2-4 lbs
