1. Man, a back to back on day one....... for BH?  Tough match-ups too. Good luck.
 2.
I have experienced a racial problem in Vidor, but I have had a problem in Beaumont also. Ignorant people exist in every city(some more than others)I believe that good folks outnumber the bad, but negative publicity gets more attention.
With the screen name of "Mean Joe Green" racisim is the least of your worries........ ;D ;D ;D  Man, there are still a few of us die hard Oiler fans.... ;D ;D ;D
I imagine he included his coaching record from the other schools he coached at rather than just go off of his HF record. ::) Now you are really showing the bitterness. Funny thing, you shouldn't be bitter. You are the one that transfered your kids to Ozen while staying behind in Hamshire. ;)
This is a very legit question. What would a coach say to get a 4-A JOB  coming from a 3-17 record, in 3-A? oKAY, even if he includes his older records, what would one say to *excuse* his 3-17 record? Its a legit question.
He should say, "if I get this job will you all be providing the car alarm and bullet proof vest"?  "Not that it really matters, I have insurance and my real goal is to get as far away from Orange, Texas as I can".  Besides that, it's the only way Don Price will ever see an artificial field.
 4.
I believe when Lee went down to 4a they where supposed to be "beating" us to. GCM and Lee didn't do anything in our district. Just recognize those northern Yankee schools are moving down into our districts not the other way around.
If a tree fell in your back yard you could cross it into Summer Creek.  Everyone knows Hwy 90 seperates the "Yankees" from good folks (well except Barret Station) that is.  It used to be north of 90 and a land slide happened.  ;D ;D
Yeah, Ozen should get past Huntsville just fine, but there is a monster waiting for them later in the week.  Its one game at time right now though...Summer Creek gave them all they wanted Friday night and just cant look ahead to anyone.  And ....Dallas Lincoln, Mansfield Summit or Canyon may have something to say about who will win it all, ha.
Well good smack that does not make........ ;D ;D ;D  I could see Dallas Lincoln being a very athletic team.

Here is what they did: They now have a new segement called "Vidor-Tales".  The segement started with saying ND had obtained a history text book from Vidor High School and in it says, "Martin Luther King's dream was to grow watermelons without seeds."  They went on to say it also says, "Mrs. Parks rode in the front of the bus because she thought the first stop was a kentucky fried chicken store".  This was followed by ND saying his coach in college told him to never got o Montrose or Vidor.  The remainder of the program was filled with callers calling in to tell their racial "Vidor-Tales". The entire segement had a banjo playing in the background.  Here is a link...... Tales! « CBS Houston]Vidor Tales! « CBS Houston   Funny they never mentioned how the town came together after a young black athlete passed away this past season, or how the things they discussed were 40 or 50 years old.  What a discrace!  Sport's 610 Program Director EMail: Vidor, hats off too you!  Damn fine place to live.
Is there such a history book or the host was making this up? I'm from Houston and remember stopping at a full-service gas station (in the 80's). We didn't know anything about the area at that time. The guy never came out and pumped our gas. We left. But, I use to drive to Vidor in the 90's (after I moved to Beaumont) to go shopping at one of their stores a couple of times.
Maybe because full service stations were fizzled out in the 60's? lol. Never heard of one in the 80's except for the handicapped. That texasfootballratings info is some pretty cool stuff.
Which just goes to show you that Brenham is over rated... And the others get WAY more exposure than Dayton ever has...
On the flip side, Brenham only has 13 losses vs. 17 for Dayton, so the Brenham winning percentage is higher.
You can't base them having a higher winning percentage... Dayton has played 70 games to Brenhams 63.. which obviously puts Dayton in higher loss category than Brenham. So assume Brenham played 70 games like Dayton and assume Brenham  lost those extra 7 games. That would put them at 20 loses to Dayton 17 loses.Or assume Brenham won the extra 7 games Brenham would only have 4 more wins than Dayton  Or assume Brenham lost 4 and won 3, then they would be even. Or assume Brenham won 4 and lost 3, then they would only have 1 win over Dayton.  bottom line unless you have the same games played numbers, you can't do a percentage... I don't think. Wheres Mr. Toups.. He the math Genius.
Well for the last 2 years, we have only lost 1 game a year.  At that rate it would take 3 years to get the same amount of losses Dayton has. (assuming y'all went 16-0 every year for the next 3 years....  We all know that wouldn't happen either though) You call us overrated, but if you look at the #'s were every bit what Dayton is....
I'm not saying yall are less than Dayton.. And you just made my point with your last statement. Yall always seem to rank WAY above Dayton EVERY YEAR.. But yet we are every bit what Brenham is.. And the Numbers that are being talked about are for the last 5 years.. not 3 years into the future. Eazy was trying to put a percentage on the 2 teams.. which you can't do when the games played are different.
Now that's funny!  You better worry about BH, Kindwood park, Crosby, and Summer Creak.  Ozen took BH and Brenham out, so maybe BH is more like Brenham than Dayton...... ;D ;D ;D

 9. Well one of the idiots who was involved in the bashing (Josh) and the Sports 610 program director just finished discussing this issue.  The program director Gavin came on and made some statements about the issue.  Josh in a round-about way blaimed it on Wikapedia information, if you can beleive that.  Sounds like a LAZY and IRRESPONSIBLE excuse for not doing better research before sticking your foot in your mouth.  The Mayor complaining and the numerous Vidor residents and SETX Sports supporters were mentioned.  To say it was an appology would be going way too far and it was more sarcastis than anything, my opinion.  The program director did openly invite the Mayor of Vidor on to discuss the changes Vidor has made.  I doubt that would ever happen.
No, No, No, you got it wrong Rock.  Always count them out so when they kick your tail it gives them something to brag aout.  That way when you beat them they have to eat their words.  That's what football is really about, the message board smack, not the W's.......... ;D ;D

I wonder if the packard and lapray law firm, who are from Vidor, would like to know about this.
I don't know, but I know that the Mayor of Vidor now does.
I hope he shakes a few trees at CBS and politically.  The entire session was completely uncalled for and showed VERY POOR judgement on the part of the hosts and the program director, who has very tight control over what Josh and his show puts over the airwaves. I can't imagine had Rich Lord been on that day, as he normally is, would have allowed that segement to happen.  He's far more mature and respectful than that.

I am going to watch them this year, but have not seen Long throw.
Smoking baby....both 6"4, both 90. Big difference was that Hales was lefty. Seems like yesterday when we both witness that last bevy of scouts. You will be impressed with Long and the whole BH team.
Thanks.  Yes, no doubt about the scouts.  I can recall a few games where there were more scouts than opposing fans.  All I hope is we play Montgomery again for a chance to pay-back that loss.  That game was sickening, wind blowing in 30 mph and at least 5 or 6 balls died at the fence.  Different weather BH wins that game by a lot.  Both very good teams that year.
