Wow....I was out of town for the weekend and just caught up on the scores. Great job HJ....any given Friday. I thought EC had a great shot at 10-0. Glad HJ got the big win, good for them. I heard about the young man that broke both wrist on the kickoff. Praying for him.

If you only play when you think you have a good team then the numbers really don't show a true series of play. I feel like HF is a much larger school than EC and should play. I could understand a smaller school not wanting to play a larger school but not the opposite. I know what your thinking, how do you know it’s HF. I was with some friends from EC tonight and they told me EC has a freshman team. not sure if that is true or not, but if it is. Why did they not play the HF freshman? and the the sophomores play each other? I counted 49 kids on the EC team.

Including this year, these seniors have seen the varsity compile a 4-28 record since 2009. You have the audacity to question the new head coach after one game? What were you expecting? Don’t you think you need to let the man do his job? The freshman QB is coming off an undefeated 8th grade season leading his team in beating everyone including WOS and Silsbee. He is probably a lot more confident than some of the seniors right now. If he does take over the starting job at QB then I would say HF has hired a very gutsy head coach that is not afraid to go against common belief. Yes the senior was good a QB, but it seems to me the freshman could be great. I was a 4 year starter on varsity, there was a player that graduated last year that was a 4 year starter on varsity, and got a scholarship to Columbia. It can be done, and HF has the perfect coach to develop the future leader of the team. By the time he is a junior and Senior he will be experiencing undefeated seasons again. Just support the team….. Let the program develop.
