Right now, basketball plays two rounds of playoffs per week, with regional tourney games back to back. Baseball plays 1 round of playoffs a week, including the regional semis and finals. Basketball only takes 2 1/2 weeks to reach the state tourney, baseball takes over a month to reach the state tourney.
