I was told that he has family on the school board which would prevent him from being hired. He would be good, but he is doing great things in Deweyville. I do not know if this is true or not, but that is between the 2 family members I guess?

My Horns got greedy and A&M got smart. Why didn't the Horns leave for the SEC when they had the chance? Greed, they got offered the failed Longhorn Network which I don't get. I can see plenty of SEC games every week.

Defense very much improved in one week. Good contact tonight. HF recovered 4 fumbles and an interception. BH did not score on ones. Two's gave up a couple of touchdowns. Offense for HF has not had much rhythm. Taking to long for plays to develop. Receivers dropping too many balls. Receivers need to grow up fast for HF to have success.
BH moved the ball up and down the field from what I heard. The offense from HF didn't have any 1ST downs vs. the BH starting defense and could only muster maybe 2 against the BH 2nd unit. HF will be lucky to win 2 games .
Well, OLDMAN, you heard wrong.

Should be a good scrimmage. Any info? -
BH vs HF sigh :(
Lol, They had some great games in the past. Then BH grew like the weeds in my garden. Very fast and out of control! Used to be a great rivalry. ;D

You don't gain anything by this. Tx City will be a good opponent which will bring out the weaknesses in PN-G. Wait until next week to evaluate your team.
Two things. 1. PNG under BF has always had spring football so only one scrimmage. When they decided to forgo spring fb this year it left the scrambling for a first week scrimmage. HF was available. 2. HF was a 7th place team, but they were very very young. Still young, but they have talent. Most of that team Friday night was Sophs and juniors, much like PNG. C. Anytime you get to hit someone else its a plus.
Wrong. HF graduated A LOT!!! If they are better than 2-8 this year it will be for two reasons...their preseason schedule is very weak and their quarterback may be the best athlete in the district.
Or they have more time under their current head coach, and they our bigger, stronger, and faster. The schedule is exactly the same. (except for home and visitor and we scrimmaged PNG instead of Deweyville) We will scrimmage at BH next Fri. They start the season at home against Splendora (969 enrollment!), @ Anhuac, Home for EC, @ Liberty, then 21-3A. Off week November 1st.

We played very well and held PNG several series. Still had problems rapping up when we had someone for a loss. There was not a huge touchdown play given up which is an improvement from last year. They say you always improve when you play a tougher competitor. So, HF truly improved tonight. As far as PNG goes, I think they will not repeat the 2-8 season from a year ago. They look much improved. I am not sure which quarterback is which, but the number 19 seemed a lot more comfortable in the backfield. Number 16 had to keep running to the sideline to make a pass. 19 put the ball in the perfect spot many times. His receivers did not help him much. The number 19 had a height advantage that seemed to favor him so much more in the backfield. I know which quarterback I would go with. Have a great season PNG.
I will take the improvements.
