My wife was in a store in Barbers Hill yesterday and a elderly lady had noticed my wifes Bronco shirt. The elderly lady said that she took her grandkids to the game in Dayton last friday and that she was from Barbers Hill. She went on further to say that Dayton beat Barbers Hill so bad that her grandkids do not want to go any more football games. My wife just smiled and did not say a word but she wore her Bronco shirt with pride.  ;D The Hill is for real. 

You are correct Bobcat, but that was many moons ago or years I guess. The Broncos are here and now and have been dominant for the last 3 years and in the playoffs for I believe the last 13 years.  ;D   

#1 Galena Park Fan.The teams that GP played are not in the same league or near the caliber as the Broncos. How many playoff wins did the teams you played have last year?

What happened last year anyway Brenhamfan? Dayton trounced Waller in the playoffs a week or two after they beat Brenham. On a serious note, not jabbing at Brenham but just curious. Did Brenham just decide to rest players or just a fluke game. I know Waller had no answer for anything we did to them in our game. I know they are in your district, is that a big rivalry?  I also saw you at the Ike game walking by in your Green shoes.  ;)

Just curious, which one if any of these 4 teams that Galena Park has played would be on the same level as the Broncos? Any thoughts?

I run a establishment in Dayton and I can not tell you how many people said the hill is for real after the beat down they got friday night.  ;D  Whats also interesting is how many people said Barbers Hill deserved it. I dont feel the players did but probably the adults that were talking trash all week did. When you have your nose up in the air and think you are better than everyone else then you put a target on yourself and you deserve what you get. 

Hope you get those players back before you play Dayton. Your gonna need them. Merka will not have his way this year when facing #45 AND #65.  ;)

I also think #1 should go straight up the field more instead of side to side. I just think he is fast enough to break some of those runs for some big gains. I believe he had a few last night. But, I am not a coach either, so.

Sounds similar to the Dayton/Barbers Hill game. IMO. Great win cubs...

The Broncos have put Dayton on the map in the State of Texas and that is something for the players to look forward to on a yearly basis. We love our Broncos win or loose. Once a Bronco, always a Bronco. We bleed purple in Dayton...........

Good to see #9 come back after that turnover and make that big completion. We will need him as the season moves on.

You are right Brenhamfan. We were careless with the ball in those turnovers but the question is will Barbers Hill capitalize on them as quick as the previous teams we have played did. Barbers hill is not the same caliber of team as Ike or previous teams we have played. Eventually we will be the beneficiary of turnovers, which we have not had much luck with yet this season.

We were not playing powder puff teams when we had the turnovers. Don't count on many turnovers, the teams we were playing were much better and faster than the teams in our district. We could probably turn the ball over 2-3 times and still beat Barbers Hill. JMO.
