1. I can not listen to the game. If anyone is able please pass on updates. Thanks
 2.
After having a while to think about the game, I think there are a couple of things to consider about that game last night.... #1- You can talk about the 'Cats defense struggling, but I'd hate to see the time of possession..... Our D was on the field a lot last night and fatigue may have set in.... It's tough to tackle a GREAT player (McGowan) when you are winded.... No knocking the defense, they kept the other team's score lower than ours and that's what it is about.... And we did have 3 picks and a TD on defense.... #2- As I mentioned in the broadcast, EVERY state title winning team has a test at some point.... There are the rare occasions when teams steam roll everyone, but those occasions are VERY rare.... Kirbyville will learn from this.... Their coaching staff is one of the best in southeast Texas.... You don't make two straight state championship games and start a third season 12-0 without having a great staff.... #3- The players will have a new level of focus next week no matter who it is.... Reading Facebook posts from Cucancic and Ford after the game, they both acknowledged that it was a close game and they will have to be better prepared next week.... To me, that makes them dangerous next week.... Don't forget, as AAW said, in the playoffs, I don't care if I win every game by 1 point, I just want to win.... P.S. --- Those of you who took the Reggie Bush comments WAY out of proportion.... I understand completely that Bush is an NFL athlete and Ford is in high school.... It was a joke, and I'm sorry that it could not be enjoyed that way...
Great post.  They were tested and came up with a win they can learn from.
 3. I went to the Kirbyville La Vega game last night and we were on the visitors side. Kville stands were basically full with only a few empty spots here and there. The La Vega side did not even have enouph fans to fill the reserve seeting. It would just be a guess but if they had more than 150 people there I would be suprised. Their team came up short but they played very hard and that QB gave it everything he had. The pirate fans that were there were very supportive it just seems a shame for the players to work so hard and not get more than that in a playoff game. I was supprised by the Kville turn out for a Thursday game but if LV had 44 boys suited out, cheer leaders and a big band and if no one showed but a parent or two from each kid they should have a bigger crown than they had. I give a lot of respect to the LV team they deserved more than they got.
 4.
[
um, you been away for a while, I been saying Brownwood was the team to beat, get that correct. Its ok rykerx. I expected this type of response from a kville fan.  :D That's so right scooter, kville fans are very sensitive about their team, maybe even insecure? ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Why is it that any thread you are on there seems to be an issue? Must just be a coinciedence that everytime things get stupid you are some how caught up in it no matter what team is being discussed. You get your hackles up pretty quick defending CS and its obvious you take pride in your home team so why would you be suprised when others do the same for theirs.
 5. People can say what they want about the game last night but the QB from LV was a heck of an athlete and determined to get a win for his team. You have to respect how he played and anyone that says their team could have handled him easily is kidding themselves. If you break it down I dont think the Cats played horrible. They never really got into rythm on Offense but it did not look like they were not executing it looked like the play calling was a bit predictable. May be Jack was just playing his cards close to his chest. Other than the QB running all over the feild the the D looked Ok.  If they could have stopped him no one would be complaining. I want to say Cucancic comes through everytime we need him to. So thanks Caleb. People are saying that this is worst game Kville has played all year. I think it can be the game we learn the most from. They are the same team they were at 7:30 yesterday.... they just have a hard fought win under their belt.
 6. It could not happen without your hard work. [Hidden Content]
 7. Sounds like La Vega plays alot like Bridge City. Been there done that. They will be ready. Kville -48 LV- 21
 8. I know it's one game at a time at this point but the posibilities for the next two matchups makes the La Vega game even better. Blow these Pirates out of the water 'Cats. There are some boys a little closer to home that seem to think the 2nd time's a charm. I bet there are a few Wildcats that will be ready to change their mind about that! Keep rolling 'Cats! We're proud of you!
 9. Banner had Alverez saying Vanya is not ready to come back. I know he is itching to get back out there but glad to see him 100% first. He'll still get his chance! ;D
 10. Has anyone heard of any recruiting efforts for Aarron Breed?

Where are you from? How is it that you got to see all of the Kville film?
well,  i'm from coldspring obviously. you can say i'm someone on the sidelines during games. player?,coach?, that's for you to decide.
Not a coach for sure....no class. Not one of the choices but I am going to say......twirler
Waterboy[IMG][Hidden Content]]
HEY! Thats Hydration engineer to you ;D

They don't look that strong on paper?
I think they had 2 int and 2 fumbles. Dont let the stats fool you. I predict Kirbyville will win, but it will be a hard fought win. LaVega is a very physical team. They run the spread and all of a sudden they will run the wing t, totally confused Fairfield.
The spread use to be Kirbyvilles weakness but not anymore and the wing T....I think they are pretty familiar with it. No confusion from Kville.

 14. So Lefty and Rykerx..... Any score predictions?

 16. Did Fairfield turn the ball over a lot against them? They don't look that strong on paper?
 17. Thanks Lefty I knew you'd get 'em!
 18. Well I guess they will just have to limp along on what they are getting then. ;D  Must suck only getting 1000 yards plus backing up a 2000 yard plus rb, and going to the playoffs on an undeafeated team.  Ford is doing what he is supposed to you can count on it!
 19. With the style any of the three run it is hard to block past the line. They pick their own lines as they see them develop and its hard to keep up with them from behind let alone get ahead of them. The way Burman, and Haywood smile and cut up with him on the sidelines looks like they dont mind what he is doing. If they like it, I love it ;D
 20. I think one of the Wildcats greatest advantages is Ford but not just because of his rushing. Every week you can read the press from the hometown of who we are playing. They think he is the whole team. They do have to focus on him or he will make them pay but he is a team player and an unusually unselfish player for an athlete of his caliber. He has that rare vision of the feild. But while the D is worried about him Burman physically TAKES his yards and Haywood is accross the line before they notice he has the ball. If you watch Ford during the game he is just as happy when any of them do well. Thats a lot of weapons but thats not even close to all that La Vega has to worry about because it looks like the two biggest game changers every week are Breed and Cucancic. No game plan can shut those two down because they are everywhere at once. Mike Tyson said once "Everybody has a plan.....Until they get hit" and if that hit come from either  Breed or Will Tyler you can bet that plan just changed!  You can have your D-backs shadow Ford all night but as a whole this team is tough.
 21.

I just looked at the rankings..and Im wondering why Kirbyville dropped. I looked it up on Dave Campbells website. Doesnt make sense. Anyways..just curious! STATE BOUND...GO CATS!!!
I don't think the AP releases anymore rankings until the playoffs are over.
Were they AP rankings or Dave Cambell site rankings? Either way I dont think the Cats are worried about rankings. They beat all the haters by just being where they are right now.
