  1. Weed to the rescue! Thanks Dear license plate clown, Not offended at all by your opinion. I fully understand the situation of this past summer and am free of any emotional ties to the situation...but I just don't see eye to eye with your ramblings. You are entitled to your opinion, but just because you make a statement over and over again, it doesn't necessarily make it true. Oh, CONGRATULATIONS!
  2. You could not do it! Noone would do the same and have the same results. IT IS BECAUSE THEY CANT! Better known as EGO. Mommy says I am better than you, Dad says you have no movement on your pitches like me YOU CAN;T DO IT. MY Daughters select team has a better chance because I can influence that coach or I am the assistant coach and would do things sooooo much different than the high school coach. You can come together brag about your kid and her team during high school ball and then hope to avoid them all summer or play them 20 times and beat them everytime because of the "varying skill level" as you put it Hillguy Will someone please PM me the translatation for the above response? Thanks
  3. Thank you for acknowledging the fact that I graduated...some people have their doubts. ;D And for the record, you are BOTH older than I am! (if you add your ages together) Isn't there some law against abusing the elderly?
  4. Why would YOU be celebrating your 10 year class reunion and everybody else in your class celebrating THEIR 30th? ??? ;D
  5. You must have been on isle #2. I was on isle #4 and ran into a huge wos fan. He told me that Nederland was terrible and that Bellow was about as overrated as you can get as a passer. : Said they would probably hold the Dogs to negative yardage for the game. ;D Oh, and in case you forgot...Silsbee is in your district and plays the same folks you do. Quit stirring somebody else's pot! The Bears looked good in their scrimmage with Silsbee. The closer you are to the LCM program the more impressed you have to be with the underlying factors that have changed for the good in Bear Country. I fully understand that the "NEW" Bears haven't even played a real game yet, but as an LCM fan, you HAVE to be pleased with the direction Crouch's Crew seem to be heading. Go Bears! skipper...Silsbee will be fine. The QB, Johnson, is a great great athlete and could very well live up the hype and carry Silsbee on his back for a long way. Slam, I'm not even close to the Bear program and I can understand the changes. BTW, you didn't even come see me at the scrimmage. I agree about JJ but they better find someone to block for him. ;D You're right td...most of the changes are very easy to see. I hope the upswing continues. Sorry I didn't get to see you at the scrimmage, maybe we'll get a chance to visit this Friday. LCM is open this Friday...what game will you be going to? ;D ;D I dont' think we've seen what Silsbee can really do yet. I think they used Friday's scrimmage to accomplish exactly what you should in a scrimmage. It was obvious they really wanted to work on their passing game and stayed after it. The O-line looked a little winded on several occasions, but they worked hard to backtrack to get in some blocks after JJ danced around and seemed to scramble forever in the backfield. I think Silsbee will be tough when the games count for real.

  7. Why not? We all endured 18-page threads of "season predictions" that were only based on hearsay and the past. Britton Lindsey is a great kid with a great family. Just in passing of course, I've told Britton how good he would look in green and gold. ;D
  8. I agree. Kelly would be giving up their "home field". Why would they want or agree to do this? If I was Kelly, the only way I would agree is if Vidor gave up all of the gate and concessions.
  9. WOW! wos lost funding for their buses, but I'm pretty sure they still have a copier somewhere in the administration office. Even though its just a scrimmage, I bet there are a few thousand copies of this message pasted all over the locker room walls!!
  10. DARN, those wos kids must be faster than I thought! UIL went ahead and awarded them the 2010 Championship?
  11. Silsbee vs wos is being billed as one of this seasons best. (and it should be). In your opinion, does a victory in this game mean more to one school than the other? Silsbee has had some good teams in the past, but has never been able to get over the hump and beat the mustangs on the scoreboard...and wos has had a stranglehold on this 3A district ever since it enter 3A. I know all the "fluff" and what people are "supposed" to say about getting to the playoffs is the most important thing...yada...yada, but who is this game more important to?
  12. I know Coach Buchanan is really tired of you talking on here. Support your team, but have a little humility about it. Congrats to the girls of Woodville...you've played well all summer. (Amen 1880)
  13. WOW! Oh, my bad. I misread the title. I thought it said "Coogs lure skipper to coaching job" ;D
  14. Good point here. Somebody is always going to be left out in some peoples eyes. What if "Podunk High" wanted to better themselves by scheduling say Dayton...do you think that would happen?
  15. I guess they leave the computers on during summer school. :
  16. Nice post Mrs. Long! ;D ;D Dustin Long was/is a great quarterback and always seemed to handle himself and the pressures of PNG's march through the playoffs his senior year with great poise. Dustin Long may very well be the best passing QB ever! (From PNG) JMO
  17. Hands down the greatest throwing quarterback from ANY school in this area has been Todd Dodge at TJ. In 1980 he threw for what was then a national high school record I believe, (I'm sure aggies, wos, or skipper will have the true stats). As all of you know, he went on to coach 3 of the top 7 listed above. Todd Dodge paved the way for all of the guys on that list. Even H-D's Dusty Evans.
  18. Who said those were good quarterbacks? ;D ;D
  19. Now why in the world would you be so excited about the start of the BB season? ;D ;D Good luck to BH and your daughter this season...it should be a great ride for you guys. BH should have one of the strongest teams in the region. (You left off the date for the start of the playoffs! )
  20. They look good new...I hope they get scatched up in a hurry!
  21. Haha I've tried man You're fighting a losing battle here brother! ;D
