1. "...came back to bite him in the butt." Seriously?? It is simply remarkable how people's perspective can be skewed depending on which player they are pulling for. (notice i said player not team because IMO The Hill has yet to grasp the team concept and i do believe Coach Denny would second that motion) Perfectly demonstrated by a BH person, WHATHAPPENED, getting on and bashing the BH catcher. Who i think most folks would agree is one one the top defensive catchers around and a SOPH.   Fact is BH didnt make the plays in the last inning to close it out. MISSED OPPORTUNITIES. Congrats to the Dogs.
2. HUGE loss for the hill. surely the importance of that game warranted BH throwing Long???? hence the ??? of why he pitched 6 innings against dayton when BH was up by 7+ runs early and Northforrest coming to town the next friday. now with 5 to play the hill has their backs to the wall. having already lost to 2 of the remaining 5, it is conceivable that BH could lose 3 of the 5. man-oh-man, PRESSURE.
3. the BH folks should be happy with the predictions... Gee is taking GCM... heck he hasnt been right all year.
4. beasley from BH has 2. he hit 1 against dayton last tuesday.
5. ok lets set the play at the plate to rest... the runner was ejected because he ATTEMPTED to run over the catcher who was in possession of the ball. the catcher held onto the ball during the collision therefore runner was OUT. runner ejected for not avoiding contact. a player in the baseline without the ball is free game, however the BH catcher (who had a great game) had the ball and Lee runner was out by several feet. the home plate umpire did a nice job of not letting the emotions subsequent to the play get out of hand. Lee's coach could have been ejected as well.
6. it was mentioned on another thread that on the opening kick off of the santa fe game Ryland Dutton went down with a knee injury. After several minutes on the field he was helped off and after a while the leg was splinted. what REALLY SUCKED was when the half ended all of the coaches, players, and trainers jogged to the field house leaving Dutton on the side line and he was forced to make his way on crutches ALONE to the field house. the entire coaching staff and training staff left their wounded on the field to make his way. i am sure i am not the only person who saw this and was upset by it. if this is the type of leadership that the future holds... furthermore, he was not helped back to the sideline after halftime was over. i will refrain from a lengthy rant but in my opinion that spoke volumes about coaches and trainers.
