Ok Hey Now read slower, I said he was asked to not to ump at Lumberton and banned from Ford Park for assaulting a coach. As far as lying goes I can only tell you what I SAW at Ford Park, and when you knock a coach that is not looking at you unconcious, I would classify that as assault.

Follow up: I can gurantee he is banned from Ford Park, and was asked not to do any Lumberton LL games after ejecting a player for throwing a bat after hitting the ball during an All Star game.

great hey now you call with him then. I have seen the guy in action, and I was at Ford Park during the assault incident on the coach. Don't know the guy outside of a sports field but have seen enough and HEARD enough that sets off my warning bells. Anytime a guy is in as many "incidents" as this guy has been in it is bad news. There is only so far an umpire can push the stand up for your fellow blue code until you have to say sorry can't do it anymore. As far as Kelly goes you will have to discuss that with them my kids have been loooonnnnnggg out of PUBLIC school.

I agree Westend1 as far as I know from talking to several of my ump collegues he is banned from Lumberton, Ford Park, West End, and have heard Nederland but that one is not official.

Sad thing is the guy would be a decent ump, he knows the rules, just does not know how to relate to public, and always and I mean ALWAYS has to have a "ME" moment. He is bad news and I would without a doubt have him on my scratch list if I were a coach....I prefer to leave the game and have everyone forget I was there.

I believe this is the same ump that ejected Coach Rabb a few years ago. It was Rabb's first ejection in Who knows how many games of baseball, and this was over a trivial issue also that Rabb just wanted to clarify with him.

LOL, this does not surprise me this same ump has been banned from about 5 different venues that I know of. As a fellow ump trust me he is NOT respected by us either, and it is usually difficult to find someone to work with him, I won't

  WOS has a great Football team. Before you go slamming the HJ Jr. and Sr. Hawks you may want to look at the back of everyone of their helmets. Yep you guessed it a big ole #12. Maybe our HS team is not the best (at the moment) but why not take a look at our graduation rate, TAK's passing %, and SAT scores or better yet I can go to great schools web site and directly compare HJ and WOS but trust me you would not want to see that posted on here. School sports are nice but an education will get you a lot further.

So then a release was given to the board? Also seems like HJ played them during the year and came out on top then so I guess that puts us 2-0 in a series with EC which in my book clearly makes HJ the better team. I also will admit the kid is one heck of an athlete.

Oh it is the kid's decision, so we might as well let them decide if they want to go to school, or church, or what to eat for dinner because surely they know best, is she an orthopedic nurse? evidently not or her son would not be playing with a broken arm. And Sloe just coach up the other team and their would not have to be a "mercy" rule. Dont know anything about the parking lot Scalabrine we where cleaning up the stands because none of the flag parents came to help out (but oh you should know that)

Curious to know how the Silsbee White team did?? Oh never mind I know they went 2-5 while the marroon went 7-0??? Wow white team must of had some bad breaks or just maybe one team was stacked. By the looks of the rankings seems several teams did that.

Are there any others out there that worry about the welfare of the smaller kids that get stuck out there agianst the first stringers when the Mercy rule comes into effect? I watched a game this weekend, the team that was more than 30points ahead had all of their 3rd stringers on the field yet the losing team had their 1st stringers in. Needless to say the losing teams 1st string did not show "mercy" to the 3rd stringers.

Good Heavens do not show up to a Lonestar league game with outside food not only do they take your picture while you are eating it, they send it to the food Nazi's who then fine the league of the culprits....Note to self wear opposing team attire next time I eat outside food at a Lonestar game.

We shall see, HJ is very good but I would not count out East Chambers either. Well coached, and tough aggressive kids

I umpire baseball, I have done college to little league, I must admit the little league parents are the worst. I have as several other on here have taken a sabatical from time to time. Sometimes you just get to that point you can not handle it anymore and you know you are going to go to that place you should not go.

Great post, although I would like to add, if a coach puts his time in, runs the practices, (babysits 2 to 3 days a week, deals with the parents complaints, game and practice schedules, setting up " somewhat" reluctant parents for concession duties, deals with the kids arguing, fighting, and horseplaying, and then stays late on game day to clean the fields/facilities after all of the other parents have taken " little Johnnie " home. You bet I have no problem or complaints of where his kid is playing. And no I do not coach my kids.
