I am not positive but I am pretty sure that the brackets are set up by the director. And from past experience, one of the home teams is usually given a bye should there be a need for one. It is the same way in the Pinto division this year. There are 9 teams so one team got a bye. It just oddly enough went to Orange 2 which is their A team. I'm not from Orange but you'll get no complaints from me, that is part of the home field advantage and has usually been so. As far as the 2 games on Wednesday go. That does sound odd to me and the only remote thing I can think of is that they usually play 2 games a night during the week and with an odd number of games they just kept the 2 game a night schedule creating the weirdness. I also think it should have (and it may have) been addressed at the pre-tournament meeting last Thursday, if it was a huge problem.

YEp the UIL rule is that you are only allowed to play 1 game a week on a School Night (Mon.-Thur.) Fridays and Saturdays do not count towards that rule and tournaments do not either (they are regulated a little differently).

Yep the site that came from is pretty notorious for their April Fools stuff. Did anyone check out youtube today. They RickRolled everyone with their recommended videos. Woot also pulled out the Aprils Fools joke and they have had a Woot off with the same item all day long. I just keeps refreshing itself with the occasional BOC thrown in.

Wow just wow. I think a trained monkey randomly inserting teams would have made a better ranking than the TABC. I have no problems with the top 4 (congrats Silsbee, it was a long time coming) because they always include the 4 state qualifiers first (as they should). But a team that lost in the regional semis jumped 13 spots while HJ lost in the regional finals dropped 7. And if that wasn't bad enough. The 5th ranked team lost in the Area round. As has been stated many times on here, these rankings are a joke.

You haven't been on this site in over a month, but somehow it doesn't surprise me that you found your way on here today. We didn't hear anything from you after the first silsbee/hj game. That didn't surprise me either. I've been reading posts on here about this game since last night, and the HJ and Silsbee fans have both been very respectful of each other and of the teams. Even Mwhizzie himself has been pretty reasonable. Now you want to come on here and make these little petty comments that will only incite anger out of the HJ fans. What's the point? 8th grade: WOS beat Legacy by 2 St. Anne's beat Hardin Henderson beat Deweyville East Chambers was leading Tarkington in the 2nd when I left. Not sure of the final because it was a pretty close game at the time. 7th Grade: I only saw the first game Henderson beat EC Gold (I believe that was the EC team that played) WOS played Deweyville EC Green and Hardin, were also in the tournament along with 2 other teams but I can't remember who they are.
