  1. They were a very physical team with very good tackling techniques. There were times RJ would break open and do his thing, but the defensive player stayed home and made the tackle. Best I've seen him tackled in the three years as qb. Also, we must remember that RJ worked with Riggs and Hughes for two years and developed a timing with them. That will come with this group. Wenchuel is a good receiver and will step up nicely. After watching the film's, I suspect the receivers will be doing catching drills all week. Too many well thrown balls dropped, including one that would have given us a TD but instead had to punt. Time will tell guys. I think our D did well against a very well coached team. Huntsville is in a tough district and we should be able gauge as move along.
  2. Just read where it is his ankle. He said on his Twitter he is good and will be back soon. Suspect he may sit out a few games. We shall see.
  3. Guys, step away from the ledge. I pray RJ is good. This team was good on many levels. The defensive front and linebackers are the best I've seen in awhile. Hopefully RJ will be ok. BTW, we were pretty good before RJ, we'll be ok after has moved on. We have some talent coming up.
  4. Defensive from for the Hornets are legit. And the linebackers
  5. Wenchuel is doing good, but dang we miss Riggs....
  6. Can't catch, but Huntsville has a pretty good defense
  7. It will be interesting to see how our running backs do to take pressure off RJ. Looking for Deslatte to have a good year....
  8. If anyone can beat Manvel it will be Angleton..
  9. Got to be honest, I was '85 footballer and we flat out stunk...I loved Troy, but would have loved Malone.
  10. We always feared Dayton more than Crosby Or BH.....has it been that big of a turn around, if so, why do you think?
  11. BF is gonna have to focus on defense....Maybe if I keep saying it then it will happen.....
  12. Ok, Jag, if not the mighty Ocelots then Black and Silver Oilers would be cool.....but black and silver for sure. I always thought those colors were intimidating.
  13. Hranicky is coming back, who was a starter. Petix, 6'5" lefty, pitched last year too, but didn't start. Simmons, LeBeouf, Lane, Stansbury are all really good pitchers. Rockafort, a sophomore, will be back. I think we will have 4 or 5 lefty pitchers. But these kids can hit. They always have been. They work great as a team...
  14. PNG should be stacked with pitchers. This group of seniors can flat out hit. Looking for another great year
  15. You really get me, RJ is being recruited by most of the major schools who have watched him against all types of teams. They are recruiting him for QB not WR. Now unless you are a recruiter from a major college you should step off and let the big boys play this game...
  16. Proud of that young man. I've watched since he was little and in high school. He is truly an artist at the sport, despite what petty things some one says. I will be watching him with the Long Horns and believe me that is not something I normally do as an Aggie fan. But I will wear burnt orange with his jersey. No doubt!
  17. Been needing to do this for a long time. He has a great system, once he incorporates more physical defensive philosophy he will have a full package. I just wish he'd do it sooner than later....
