Just don't get behind....tit for tat......hopefully at the end of the game we have the ball last. I am hoping for our defense to step up. They have it in them.

Who gives a cr@p, Nederland won....time to move on....Beat Porter and we'll try to take out Crosby.... -
Hope Latulas has a great game. That kid is a beast...

Wouldn't it be funny if it turned out to be a defensive game...I know it won't happen....

PNG is strange then lol....there are plenty of the old-timers that like to go and watch with no kids out there. Heck I would like to go and my son is the Indian Spirit, just hadn't had a chance. I know most of the players because they are buds with my son so I guess that is not strange. But, I'm strange for other reasons, at least that's what my wife says.... -
Yes Crosby was the last I wanted to see in the first round, but you have play them all eventually. I think our defense will step up to the challenge. I least I hope. Have we even blitzed all year?

Ya know I used to say let Bost start at QB and let RJ be a slot or receiver because I thought that combination would be lethal. It might have been but look what we would have missed on offense. Yes I question BF all the time, but getting on here and airing out that frustration does not work. I have been wrong many times in questioning him. Does he make bone head moves, sure like almost killing RJ the other night. But he is 9-1 and there is a lot to be said about that. Hell, make an appointment with him and voice your concerns. Ask him why he benches some of those seniors. He may have a good reason, then again he may not, but at least you will know. -
Didn't have to be one person. Hadn't been that way all year. Hopefully we go back to spreading the ball to Hughes, Stansbury and Riggs.....
-
I agree, he has to touch the ball more. That will take the pressure off of RJ. But Deslatte is good too. Hopefully they are not bitter for not being trusted and not getting the ball last night. RJ has had big passing numbers for a reason this year, he does not have to run every play.
-
Winner winner chicken dinner. Deslatte proved he could run the ball last night and they stopped using him. Hughes could have some touches, but none. How about some more dump passes to Lane or Hebert? It is like BF goes brain dead in this game. Anyway Nederland earned it last night and I hope they continue to play with the same amount of intensity into the playoffs. Good luck Dogs in the playoffs. I think we need to get Shug a daily hot tub regimen and possibly a massage after this game.

Nederland 36 Port Neches-Groves 35/FINAL

I think we were just under our average, although I'm not a stat guy...I also think we scored the most points on that Nederland defense all year, at least the starters....But in the end they just needed to hold us for what they did and win the game... -

I was made a believer last night. Latulas is a beast. Why we didn't double him up is beyond me. Has he been there his whole High School career. What class is he in? Simmons too. watching these kids as they played this senior group I don't remember them when they were younger. -
The old saying "Defense wins championships" was proven last night....
-
Yes he really is and I wish he was going to my Aggies, I will watch where ever he is.
-
I agree. Deslatte did a good job running. I will say this, his heart is is bigger than his talent. That is saying a lot considering his talent. We as PNG fans appreciate what he gives to the team and school. It is good to see a kid with his talent not be cocky and constantly work to improve himself. He is a leader on and off the field. I will always be a fan no matter where he goes.

RJ can't get traction, receivers slipping every where. Simmons is the fastest back at hitting the hole I've seen all year. Lighting quick. Nederland definitely playing good ball, us....not so much. -
I was there too. That was the year we lost 5 starters to the then State Finalist French Buffalo's. The Orange crush killed us that year. We did beat Monty the next year though by 3-0....

I'm glad he retired, especially for us Indians. Seems Barrows paid attention though and I expect some good things out of him....

Valid points....

Yes, a losing record will drive some fans away, but I agree with Big Bro, where are the parents? I mean the band, drill team, etc. they are all out there performing. When my daughter was an Indianette I went to every game with family. Even Livingston, ugh. Parents may not think the child cares if they're there, but they do. For the parents that were there for Ozen, kuddos. It means more than you know for these kids...NHSBulldogFan, 2013 for PNG was that year. I think we won one game, very spotty in the stands after half time....

That will be key. Keitha did a good job throwing the ball against us, so keeping him and Hines off the field as long as you can is important. For the Titans, they have to stay in position on defense and not overrun the play. I think this offense can hurt a aggressive speedy defense. Patience is key. We did that pretty well against Vidor and it showed.
