Port Neches-Groves Coach Faircloths first 100 games
FrodoNDN replied to prepballfan's topic in High School Football
This i very true. These kids here have worked hard all year round on weights etc. Nederland is the same way. RJ has even stepped it up more since he has taken over the leadership position. Kid works out constantly and it shows. His passing has improved dramatically from the last two years I hope this continues for years to come. . -
Key is to stay healthy. The Ozen defensive line is pretty stout and will knock the socks off of you if given a chance.

Got to admit, I have been following this age group for years and knew the Dogs would be down at this point, but Barrows has done a good job at keeping them competitive. I have no doubt that they will come out strong. If our defense plays strong I don't think it will be close. I do believe our Defensive backs will be tested more in this game which is good considering the possibility of BH in the first round. Here's to hoping there are no injuries.

I actually like Vidor in the trenches in this one. If PA goes to the air it could be a long night for Vidor. PA gonna have to have patience and not over play that offense, if they do Vidor will burn on a few. Still think PA has too many horses. But I was wrong last year...

True enough, I don't we've ever just walked through a 21-5a team. Always tough. Is the starting QB back?
-
I actually agree with this reasoning....I would like to see Bost in there every once in a while to get real time experience. He is a good QB, but experience is vital.....

Soulja, I believe that if the Jags would have stayed on the ground it would have been a tighter game. Our defense is a second half defense and we have to change that quick in the play offs. The QB did what he could for having to step up and I commend him for that. He can run the ball pretty dang good though. That # 3 is a baller, kid has some wheels. Ya'lls defensive line and linebackers can hit. So what has to happen to get in for you guys. -
Yes and he is dang good. Maybe not Rochon level, but who is, but this kid can flat out ball. A name to look at I think in the future would be Grant Pearson. He's a 6'3" freshman at receiver. The Freshman running back, Vaughn I think, is freakish good. We'll be good....

Stansbury is a senior. Riggs, Hughes, Hebert, Lane are all seniors. Their are some underclassmen that will come up and step in. Pearson who is a freshman, I think he is 6'3" will be a good one. Bost little brother is a beast. There is some talent coming up. Weunchel and Rockafort are Soph. -

Few things going against you guys tonight. With your starting QB out it is difficult to adjust. The Qb that played tonight can run, but passing is not his thing. Ya'lls running game was working early, he should have stuck with it. Also, , penalties kill you guys. -

Better have made some adjustments on that run or it's gonna be a long second half -

Central hurts themselves, if they can clean up their play they are a good fast team -

Notice how he has a purple and white hat band. Or light purple and silver, but close enough. The Gap Band are Indian fans!!! -

Thanks Bia, I thought I was being as humble as possible. I am not one to stir the pot. All I was saying is that this year we are not one dimensional. I never said the Jags couldn't stop us. I even said it is always a hard fought game, which I believe it will be this year. -

PNG does have a running game, it's just not used as much. I think if it came down to it we could move the ball running. It will be interesting to see man coverage on our receivers, if Riggs has good coverage, Stansbury and Hughes will open up. Also Hebert and Lane out of the backfield are dangerous. So if they are completely covered then Shug and Deslatte running could really be trouble for a defense. -

Anything can happen. Our defense looked waaay better tonight with less arm tackles and more wrapping up. If we can keep that up we will do very well... -
