  1. Central is always a tough game. I think we should win by a coupe of TD's.....
  2. Onside recovered PNG
  3. Port Neches and Groves. Groves got hit bad
  4. He's covering pretty good. Riggs made a phenomenal catch for long yardage with tree guys on him
  5. Whose covering Riggs?
  6. Vidor def hits pretty dang hard
  7. Yes you have talked about other players and quite often I may add. You speak truth and that is sometimes hard to hear......
  8. I think someone has taken his place.......
  9. I was at that game. What year was that?
  10. Aldine MacAurther?
  11. I think the fear of getting kids hurt keeps them from practicing the fundamentals of tackling. I understand that fear, but with PNG we've always had to hit harder and gang tackle because of our relative size and speed. It has served us well. If I am not mistaken I think WOS stills does extensive tackling drills in practice. Correct me if I am wrong WOS fans....
  12. I think the kids on defense this are very talented. Lebeouf, Hammond, Sergio, Bost all have tremendous talent. Practice makes perfect in my opinion. We may need to practice more of the fundamentals of tackling like wrapping up and holding on. Arm tackling on the likes of Hines will not cut it. Heck our boys are in the back field most of the game, it is just that the backs we have faced are very squirrelly, to their credit, and you have to wrap up and hold on and get some help. I think we will get better and better, but come playoffs we have to be focused. You can only win so long by out scoring your opponent. Eventually defense comes in to play and that one stop in the backfield can mean the difference in the outcome.
  13. I think the secret to playing Vidor has to be patience. Let the play develop a attack the ball. They do misdirection so well it is essential to play your slot. With that said, Deslatte can get some ground he may surprise the Vidor defense. If Vidor takes away the deep routes of Riggs and Hughes then RJ will have Stansbury and Hebert or Lane to throw to. They are all good. Throw in Wuenchel #9 and man you have a lot to cover. Of course RJ may have to run and well we know how that usually ends.
  14. I know...right?? lol
  15. I could be wrong, but I thought he was...
  16. I actually agree with you on this one. That is why I think RJ should be careful when he truly commits to a school officially. I know it is verbal but with a true freshman at the helm at Texas right now, he will have trouble stepping in right off. The same could be said about the true freshman Mond at Aggieland, although the book is still out on him. Being an Aggie fan, I would prefer him choose the Aggies.
  17. Can't compare because I haven't seen Elia play. I have seen RJ and I know him and his work ethic. The kid is extremely focused. I don't think there is a day that goes by he is not working out and improving. He makes some very good decisions on the field. He has nice tight spiral, which has improved tremendously from last year. He has proven he can be a very good pocket QB and if he has to run, well he has that too. His leadership qualities are second to none. He will be at the helm of any college he goes to and will probably be one of the leaders in the NCAA at some point.
  18. This Thread .....smdh
