Now granted they got caught and will, and should, serve the punishment but that does not automatically make them a bad kid. If my friends and I where caught doing half of the stuff we did in high school we would be in Levinworth, but believe it or not we all turned out to be good dads, docs, coaches, buisness owners, lawyers, and best of all Christians.
Man, I remember during high school ??? Well anyway, some of yall weren't caught thats my point.
I hear ya Blue.....!!!!!LOL

Like I say it is sports which means any team can beat any team on any certain night. Thats why a true sports fan loves the Cinderella of any tournament I have to admit I was pulling for Western Kentucky last year in the NCAA tourny -

My sons and I attended the game, was it just me or did HJ not take a lot of open 3's. It seemed like the wings just would not pull the trigger, and when they finally did the 3's where dropping but it was to little to late. Also great job of offensive and defensive rebounding by Persohn -
3 children (girl aged 4 and 2 boys aged 7 and 9) will have a Merry Christmas this year thanks to the sportsmanship and generosity of the STJFL/Lonestar youth football leagues. The money raised from our concession combined with a couple of donations I had from private individuals towards this football project was enough that these children will have a GREAT Christmas and the parents will have plenty of food on the table for the holiday season. My friends this is what sportsmanship is all about. I think this turned out better than my HJ coaches, and the Bridge City coaches expected, and would love to see it become a holiday tradition. Thank you to all who participated Richard Morreale

Lazeek, read my post on Heads up for Christmas, Little League International, and NFHS has placed a moratorium on some composite bats (LL in the Jr, Sr. and Big League) and LL international will post a decesion on Youth League prior to the start of the 2011 season. If they do I suspect USSSA and Nations will follow suit do to insurance regulations. you can read the info here and see a list of approved bats [Hidden Content]

It was a great game, one of the hardest hitting I have seen at this age. Most of the game was played between the forty yard lines as it was a push and shove match, with no one wanting to give an inch. The BC boys are big and fast with some outstaning athetes. If these 2 teams went at it for 4 games my money would be on a draw on the win loss tally. The HJ Hawks prevailed on the field this night but the true winner will be the Childrens Miracle Network because this is where the money made from concession will go this year. Thanks BC for a great, clean game
-
Well it is set the HJ Hawks will play the Bridge City Cardinals this Friday night at HJ's field behind the old China Elementary school off of Hwy 90. The game will begin at 7pm "one more Friday night lights". We will have a light concession stand (chipped beef sandwiches) and drinks, and hot choc. will be flowing. Come on out and watch these 2 super bowl teams go at it for a good cause. All profits from concession will go to charity.

Nobody is slighting you td, it just would not make sense to match two teams that have a 50lb weight differential. As far as bringing other kids to the team personally I think that kinda defeats the purpose of the game since it is not the same team. My son is on the Jr. team and topped the scales out at a whoopping 84.5 lbs and was one of the heaviest on the Jr team needless to say he is no matchup for a 135 pounder. -
I agree with that Bulldog, and there goes the used bat resale buisness for awhile.
-
It is still up in the air Bulldog read the last line of the article. It says LL international will give a clear statement prior to the start of the 2011 season

Yes Cardinalblood that is what the rule states.....but I have been involved with STJFL and if some of those backs were under 105 then so am I.....and trust me I have not seen that number on a scale since 5th grade.... -
Just a note to warn Santa on pending moratorium on composite bats from Little League International in case he was planning on bringing your little one a bat. I know those elf's work hard on making them for our little ones.....wink wink.... [Hidden Content]

smart and "scared" enough to know I do not want one of our 65lb 8 year olds trying to tackle one of your 10 year old 135lb running backs that "somehow" weighed in at under 105 at certification LOL.... -

As the Sr. coach I must admit to protect my players I looked up weight and age of Sr STJFL division and as Muck said they are comparable but the Jr. division is heavily (pardon the pun) weighted to the STJFL side. I have to agree with a son on the Jr. team it would not be in the best interest of the kids to play the game. -

The Sr. HJ Hawks are in the works to set up a game with the Sr. BC Cards. Not sure what the Jr Hawk's plans are. -
