....never have been from png and the bands colors has nothing to do with w & l's .... its called school spirit whether they are winning or losing and being a true fan.  I also do not and never have put the blame on the AD like most of lumberton.  I tell everyone that complains that  you cant do anything without a line!  as far as the mums .... they should be promoting school spirit so the kids will be proud of their school and want to play for it wether they are winning or losing.....I do and always have bled columbia blue -  just really getting tired of the lack of school pride!

The problem in lumberton is NO PRIDE in the schools.  Some campuses will not allow the students to wear homecoming  mums!  The band marches on the the field in black...(bet you would not see  anyone from PNG step on the field in anything but their school colors!! ) middle school students are kicked out of athletics for getting too many tags (could be from tardies) and are not allowed to participate their freshman year.  really???? what happened to making them do GOLF?  I just wonder how many of these students will go down the wrong road now? take a look at their web sight ..... the only  sport to update their achievements was boys soccer; which i would assume was from  coach luttrell; which rumor has will be coaching at PNG. :'(  ....i could go on and on but my blood pressure is high...... so glad my kids are now out!  oh yeah.... what  happened to the lumberton baseball teams trophies and pictures that were in the case..... someone threw them out!  NOW that is SCHOOL PRIDE!!! PNG would have tar and feathered someone over that!

sounds like they are meaning undisciplined on the court -  making bad shot  (too hard).  Im sure they have all played long enough to know what that is.  Like i said i was not there.  But, it sounds like they had the game won all they needed to do was control and play smart.  Could it be that the girl/girls were trying to get high scorer?  I once had a coach who praised most assist over high scorer.... because that is a "team" player!  Good luck cant wait to hear who wins next game if they meet up again - should be a good one!

Really?! uhmmm lets see.... if you do not mind the coach  --- you dont play! OLD SCHOOL - not rocket science people.  Maybe then they (who ever they are) will become a "Team" player and the coach will get respect from players and parents.  Coaches are there to "Coach" not make friends.  (fyi i was not at the game... just bored and saw this and could not believe someone would ask how to fix it) :P

What is your argument? They are also supporting the school and district at area competitions similar to the athletic teams. All do their best and bring their "A" games when competing. Believe it or not uniforms do factor in at band competitions. Some military bands wear white shoes so judges will notice their footwork. Some show bands have their flag corp wear outfits themed to their performance and not necessarily depicting school colors. Most show bands in this state will be in black primarily trimmed in their school colors. FYI - Band people do their homework...  ;) [/quote]homework??? you are obviously in the band  ... my argument is when the band is performing at a school function they should be proudly wearing school colors ... black is a NOT Lumberton's color. it's hard to tell if it is them on the field or not...  you have to look at the drill team so see what color they have on to see if it is Lumberton or not.  If you need other colors to impress the judges... simply get another uniform in whatever color you need for competition. But with all the talk about "raising school spirit" around lumberton this year, we should at least be able to tell what band it on the field. Because right now, from the stand all you see is BLACK. It just sounds like you'll will come up with any excuse not to wear school colors.
