Congrats Coldspring Go win state!!!! from a Montgomery fan with many friends from Coldspring!!!

LT beat Austin McCallum (6-5) record 28-20 first round. Is Friendswood better than a (6-5) Austin McCallum? One game does no make the whole picture.

Friendswood has beat some good teams to get to this point also-Montgomery-Humble-Manvel-La Marque-Pearland Dawson-Texas City which has prepared them for this game. One of the best Districts in the state, period. Friendswood will have to bring it to win no doubt, but LT is not going to scare them like years before, Friendswood has some senior leaders now.

Thanks Brenhamfan/Fwstangs- the game was won in the trenches, and the second half ya'll dominated the Montgomery O-line/D-line. Dobbins was lucky to have the yards he did, most of his runs where all him and braking tackles. The second Half was our achiiles heel in both loses this year. No matter what, it was the best year in Montgomery Football ever and maybe can start a tradition of playoff runs each year. Great year Bears and Go win state Mustangs!!

Friendswood looks like a team on a mission this year and Lake Travis has not been the juggernaut (undefeated) power this year but have had a few injuries slow them down. Going to be a good one- Friendswood-42 Lake Travis-35 Go win state Mustangs!!

I agree with Mark Barnes 100% better team won tonight and made better adjustments. Good luck Friendswood in the next round beat Lake Travis. Great season for the Bears, you guys made a great year to remember for our fans and families!!!

congrats Coldspring!! Well deserved

Gilbert makes Coldspring a very dangerous team on offense and the D is playing great.

Going to be a game won by a defense stepping up to stop (or slow done) the others offensive weapon. Montgomery secondary will be tested and pass rush on the Friendswood QB will be important and not let him run under pressure. Dobbins is going to test the Friendwood run D and Bolfing needs to be accurate to keep Friendswood playing 8/9 in the box. Going to be a great game Friendswood has a very good team and well coached.  Montgomery-28  Friendswood-24 Go Bears!!!                 

Just an outsiders opinion on Merka- We (Montgomery) have played them 3 times in the last two years and without him they have little to no offense. He might not be MVP but he is probably the most important player to his team because without him they don't even make playoffs.
