1. Honestly, some of the best I've seen were from High Island. Sure, the last few years, the Cards have been handed some humbling losses, but they are very good sports about it. Class acts for the most part.
2. I'm gonna have to say the worst is yet to come. Basketball season, H-J Fans. Most annoying. Football, Whiniest would be Kountze and H-D. Cockiest, probably Dayton. :P
3. Being realistic, I'm gonna say HD by 2-3 scores. Not always, but at times, both HD and WH have been known to get a little dirty and scrappy now and then, and when they play one another it doesn't clean up any. I wouldn't consider either "dirty teams" though. Hoping the Oilers can pull this one out and if they bring their "A" game, they have a good chance. Since they are pretty closely matched, either team makes too many mistakes or has too many turnovers, it could be lopsided either way. Hope its a great, injury free contest, and I wish the best to both Teams. This is probably the battle for third place in the district. Go Oilers!!
4. LOL! Good luck with that one, H.I. Mom. Everyone knows the "skeeters" in High Island and Sabine Pass are so big they have lights on their butts.  ;D Good luck to Both teams! Pulling for the Cards, but I'm gonna say Burkeville by 2 scores. 28-14.
5. HD by 35. It'll probably be between HD and Lovelady for 2nd place in the district. Good luck Cats for homecoming. Probably gonna make it out there Friday night instead of driving to West Sabine. That one's probably gonna get pretty rough. Ya'll cooking anything descent? LOL  ;D
6. I'm thinking West Sabine will make a run at it this year. Best team I've seen them put on the field in a while. I'm looking for them to go at least a few rounds in the playoffs. These teams usually stay within a score or two of one another and play a good game, but with West Hardin is struggling this year won't make for a pretty outcome, especially if West Sabine jumps out early. The Oilers seem to have an issue with giving up this year when they get down.  :-\ West Sabine 56 West Hardin 0. Love ya blue, keep your heads up and fight every game to the last second. Hope ya'll can prove us wrong.
7. Gotta say Anahuac is very impressive. Although this is the most talented, competitive 2A district I have seen in this area in a long, long time, it looks like they are driving this district train. Its theirs to lose. Good luck on trying to derail them, EC, ya'lls work is cut out for ya. The panthers shredded a large, physical Buna Defense. I'm gonna say Panthers by 17.
8.

come on 55 our district is weak year after year ? then why do you call h-d a football powerhouse you haven't won district in a few years!
Because H-D is a known powerhouse team. And yes we have not won District in a few years, but look at all the years of dominance we had !!!! Every great program has some off years, we will be back on top !!
If HD wins, HD55 rubs it in for three weeks. If HD loses, he cries and makes excuses for four. Until HD makes it past the first round of the playoffs, like they haven't since moby dick was a minnow, then I'm gonna keep away from calling them a "powerhouse". My opinion for the district 1. West Sabine (By far) 2. Lovelady 3. Daisetta 4. Colmesneil 5. West Hardin Colmesneil and West Hardin might be in a dog fight for the boo boo prize of last place. If West Hardin comes out and plays like they did last night against lovelady, then they'll be a shoe in for it. Gotta show some intensity oilers, it isn't going to get any easier this year. Lovin ya' blue, but ya'll stunk it up last night.  :-\
9. Thrall 84 Somerville 6....  Ouch
10. Anyone have the scores of Daingerfield's game this year? ...maybe some stats. I heard they were very good, just don't have any numbers on them.
11. Just looking at the 7-6 loss to Garrison is scary, due to the caliber of team that garrison usually puts on the field, but based on the rest of the games, it looks like lovelady is going to be a team similar to colmesneil with maybe a little more athleticism. If the oilers can limit the turnovers (which is killing them this year) and contain the speed (always a problem for WH) then they have a shot. Lets hope the boys can come out and play smashmouth football and come away with the W! Either way, rain or shine, I'll be pulling for ya Friday night. Lets go Blue!!
12. Which is it? 48-32 or 40-32?? ???
13. Talk about Jekyl & Hyde. The oilers either blow them out of the water or get blown out.  :-\ ..Not complaining tonight though. Good Job Boys! Gave the Homecoming crowd what they wanted. Good luck Cards with the rest of the season! Keep ya'lls heads up!
14. WHOA!  ..Dayton gonna be tough to stop in district.
15. Yeah, I'm aggravated because I was called to work on the weekend of homecoming, my 10 year high school reunion and the rice festival. I was getting ready to show em' Frank the Tank all over again. LOL ...Go Oilers!!
16. I'm waiting on them too, but for a small school, there is a very long halftime!! Sounds like WH is looking a lot better tonight than they looked against Evadale last week.
