I watched the first half of Broaddus & Grapeland before easing over to the WH game. I have to say, I was not in awe of what I saw in the first half. We should not take them lightly at all. Grapeland was way more athletic, but could not shoot the ball in my opinion. They thrived on pressure defense leading to turnovers and quick layups. Broaddus was more methodical in their offense. I do not think we will see a more methodical approach to offense than we did with Slocum.

I hope baseball is better run than basketball. :-\

Yeah, I think it went off as it fell through the net. It was good for all the kids to play. If coach had wanted and left the starters in and pressed, it could have been a 60-70 point blowout. I do not think Slocum would have made the playoffs in 24A. As always, just my opinion.

Sunshine, you should have seen stoke last night. Clock was running down stoke powers up through 3 or 4 defenders and was going to throw it down, but decided to lay it off the glass. You would have been proud. ;D

I have a thought this morning...that is really good for me at my age this early. By some of the logic used in this thread, do we now take Donahoe out of the running for POY? I mean he only had 11 points for his team. As said earlier, it doesn't matter if you have guys running at you everytime you get past your man. Guys, this is not a flame at the young man. I am trying to prove a point that you cannot judge a kid by a showing in one game.

I know of two that are calling him and visiting, but I do not think it is my place to tell you. You just don't get it or you do not read. Multiple people here have told you that he does play with these guys in AAU and more than holds his own. People that have allegiances to schools other than WH. Stop bashing, that is all you do. Go to class. They allow you too much playtime at Brook.

Mr. Reality, I love to read your comments on games and generally agree with you. If HD is not shooting well from the outside this year the struggled. That must have been the case last night. Please do not use yellow again. I must go to the eye doctor now.

I went to the game tonight, because WH wasn't playing and I work in Mont Belvieu. First, congrats Splendora. You played the exact game you had to, and you got the breaks you needed. Second, for those asking about percentages; WOS freethrow shooting was terrible down the stretch. Thomas was 1 for 5 I believe in the last 2 minutes. Netherly couldn't buy a bucket from outside of 5 feet. Lazeek, it reminded me of HJ in the Montagne except WOS did not have Donahoe to bail them out.

I try to stay away but I just get drug in. The funny thing is that Brandon would not even want this conversation going on. He would probably tell you Donahoe is the guy to talk about. That is just the way he is. But, he leads his team and they win. He cannot worry about classification he can just play who shows up that night. On his numbers, he could have ridiculous stats this year, but when you are up on a team by 30 Coach Fuller does not need him to keep throwing up 3's. I think he remembers what it is like to be the team that is down by 40. Ltown your opinion is your opinion and I respect that. But the sniffing the jock thing is out of line. He has been on the court with the other guys mentioned and performed well
