Wow flopped, where is this Austin place you speak of. It sounds like a sort of Utopia. I must find this place. I will hitch my team of mules to the wagon, gather the family and set out to find this Austin place. If I start today maybe we can be there by Friday. I bet it has 5,000 to 6,000 folks there to here you talk about it. The kids will be so excited to see that many people all in one town.

That would be a great scenario, but we do have to win matchup 2 before we travel to Lamar. It will take a solid 4 quarters to setup game 3.

Tyler Copeland is really shooting it good this year. I am not saying the best because I have seen very few on this list, but he does deserve some recognition.

You know what they say....it is hard to beat a team twice in a row. It will be even tougher going to their gym. I have faith in our guys and predict WH by 6. That being said it is not the end of the world if they do lose tonight. It might actually be a blessing in disguise.

West Hardin played fairly well for the most part... would have been a 12-15 pt. victory but the officiating was TERRIBLE and boxing out on the defensive end was an issue for the Oilers. Great win especially on Goodrichs home floor... whats up with the Good Job Warriors thing coop.... We are the Oilers!

Regardless of who either of you are, Liberty was spanked not once but twice by WH.

I do not know that Tyler will be as good as Brandon in every facet of the game. Brandon does everything that is asked of him extremely well. I do not think Tyler will be quite the ball handler Brandon is. Tyler is starting to drive more which is creating more open jumpers for him. I think Brandon is being better utilized at the point this year. That is a tough matchup for other teams that will want to man up on him.

Man Oh Man. I just got home from the game. Good game at the end. I am proud of the Oilers. It would have been easy to pack it in, down 34-12, but they fought til the last second. Good game West Sabine and good luck.

It is a really nice setup to update anolder stadium. I was born and raised in Baytown, but I do not live there anymore. I didn't like the idea when it passed because I thought it was stupid to spend $850,000 on football turf when we were still teaching in portable buildings. That is just my opinion. But again, the field is nice.

Bobcat, you're like me.....still believing YOUTH sports is for the kids. It is getting ridiculous when you have to have police make routine stops by the football field on Saturdays when the kids are playing. This did occur in the league I was involved in.

WOW.....I'll say that backwards.....WOW. What a great example to the kids that was. This stuff is getting way out of hand.

LP, I agree with what you said. The sad thing is we will walk away because of all the hassle and we probably care more for the kids learning, working hard and achieving a team goal. I have been a coach and commissioner for the better part of 5 years and I have had enough. What gets me though is the kids coming up to me after the season wanting to know if I will be their "teacher" next year.
