In one week the talk has become positive, I'm a realist we are not close to where we should be but we are on the right path! Friday night was one of the largest crowds in 10 years. Not only large but loud, tailgate party was a success. Let's not stop now these boys responded with a great hard hitting game and we came out on top. I need some help I watched Stephenville play and wow the noise anyone know how they make those shakers????
The last time I watched Stephenville they had 4 old AC refridgerant containers Bolted to a bracket with ball bearing in them and two people were shaking them. they were loud
 3. Congrads Tigers.  Lcm played a tough game. offence steped it up tonight. great job
 4.
Ok here goes from my screen name 99% of you from HF will know who I am! I'm not here to bash anyone or any school. All I'm asking is to give these boys your best! What does that mean how about no more negative talk. Vince Lombardi once said winning is contagious but so Is Losing! You really want to make a difference in some young men's lives then show up Friday at the first official tailgate party in North parking lot food and drinks available. Also, instead of showing Facing the Giants we will be showing games from 1950s til the present! Good old fashioned Longhorn football! So instead of sitting on here writing about it let's do something about it. I don't care where you have moved from your welcome anytime to me your now a longhorn. Tailgating starts at 5pm then at 6:30 we will be forming an old fashioned victory line. Remember a house is only as good as its foundation and we the community we are that foundation for this team let's get the cracks out!
Now thats a good post . And a good start keep it going. and things will turn around. good luck to HF

 6. Theres no argument here WOS has a top notch team Im sure they will go very far if not all the way in the playoffs and hope they do. They represent SETX well. l Just hope Silsbee can make a little noise in the playoff. Good luck WOS
 7.
Thoughts??? Raiders could win this IMO Go Raiders!
I never thought I  would do this . But I hope BH stomps Limbertown. Sound familiar
 8.
no arguements here. that was a good summary of the second half, silsbee dropped the ball repeatedly, sad thing is they were wide open. #7 i would say is the best athlete of many that yall have. i think giving yall the ball on the 10 yardline was a fluke accident. Mental accident hopefully that wont happen again. The tigers had excellent field position in the first half and could only muster up 6 points, but in the second half they had long fields and moved the ball very well. i cant say that yall should have won by two, i saw two drops by yall that were touchdowns and one by us that would have been a touchdown. needless to say the backjudge was horrible and both teams made mistakes. i like the play calling going for it on fourth down, gutsy call made us look stupid, if they dont flag yall that might have led to a score too! Bothe teams have a lot of work to do, but even with a loss i believe yall were the better team. good luck to yall
All said I agree totaly PNG has a huge offence and i believe if they were more conditioned to last the second half as they play the first. they will be tough in the district. I think The smaller faster defence wore them down a bit in the second half. The conditioning will come as the season progreses. Good luck in district
 9.
It is when the coaches ask kids to lead the team when they or not the leader of that team ,just doesn't make sense but at the end of the day  its his team not mine.
When the parents down the coaches in front of them. That is a problem. You get no respect from the kids. And no body can lead a bunch that wont follow. Like I said maybe its not the coaches . You need to look at yourselves maybe. Just a thought
 10.
Should have hired Joe Dale
Wow . After going through coach after coach. With the same results. One should wonder. Maybe and i repeat maybe its not the coaches. Just a thought.
 11. Great job Silsbee!    Defense played a Great game Very proud of you all. The small Tiger defense stood toe to toe With the bigger Offence of the Indians. And they done a great job. Tiger offence still needs to sharpen up on recieving Way to many drop balls . Great job again.
 12.
Kville looked much better on d.  Huntington did look improved and a little more athletic than previous years.  Still huntington though.  Kville pmoved the ball well and scored 4 or 5 times during controlled scrimmage to none for hntington.  During live play there was alot of younger kids playin and both scored and was pretty even matched.  Kville still trying to learn u can tell and givin up some big plays on misreads.  I know theres a ton of people out there now that have no intrest in the success of this program but rather just waitin for thier chance to bash and laugh at the players.  I get that and just ask u remember the kids actually read this too and its not thier fault.  They dont deserve that they actually do work hard give everything they can.  I blame this partly on you kvillecats.  I know u think ur supporting the program but when ur support is to the point that half of southeast texas is wanting the cats to fail now and bashing our boys is that really support???
I for one would very much like to see KV have a great year and hope that Does happen. But Kvillecats is messing that all up for yall. Hes putting a target on your young men by the way he posts on here. Im sure everything said is pointed at him rather than the team. Good luck to KV for the year

This pretty much set the tone for the rest of the scrimmage. East Chambers played very well and executed much better than Silsbee. I was impressed with East Chambers on both sides of the ball. Silsbee was very flat, particularly in the controlled section. When they went to the live 10 minutes quarters, the Tigers picked up the pace some. Their first possession was an 11 play 70 yards scoring drive that took 4:15 off the clock. It was the longest time consuming drive for either team. Silsbee mixed the run with the pass very well in that drive (8 rushes, 3 passes). After that, Silsbee was all about the pass. The Tigers only rushed the ball 3 times the rest of the night while attempting 21 passes, completing just 8 of them. A total of 13-30 passing is not going to make Silsbee successful in any game or scrimmage. It was a good scrimmage overall. East Chambers proved they are a team to be reckoned with and fully intend to defend their district crown. For Silsbee, it's a wake up call, particularly from last week's success against Newton. Silsbee has many things to work on in preparation with their game next week against PNG.
13-30! That's a lot of incompletions. Was it missed throws or dropped passes?
The dropped passes that were in the hands and out of the hands was terrible. It was like the plague. But there were a lot of just bad passes also
 14.
It's been a long day for me. I will post complete stats of this scrimmage in the morning. I will make these couple of comments. East Chambers out played, out performed and out coached Silsbee tonight. Just that simple. After seeing Newton and Kirbyville last week and East Chambers tonight, it's quite obvious to me who has the best team of the three. East Chambers will win district! I will post stats and make some more detailed comments of this scrimmage in the morning.
I totaly agrre with all three also.  It has been a long time since I have seen Silsbee come out as flat and lolly Gag around as if they didnt even want to be playing football. That was terrible. Attitudes need to get right. And Fast.  And When I say this It is not meant to take away from the way EC played last night they were ready, wanted to play , and had the right attitudes for it and it showed great job EC.  Silsbee needs to get their heads right.
 15.
Tiger Stadium does not need a "jumbotron". Frivolous. Rather see that money spent on necessary needs. Besides, if you get a "jumbotron", you would want to use it to it's maximum capabilities and that would involve having a minimum of 3-5 people operating it, maybe more. Take it from me (a person that is in the press box at every home game), Silsbee has trouble getting someone to run the scoreboard on a regular basis and also there is really no room in the press box for a crew to run the "tron". Turf? Yes. Jumbotron? NO!!
Shoot,  Does this mean we need to call Lumberton and tell the that we cant buy there used 23" screen anymore  :D
 16. ;D Thats true we got it for a good price from lumberton since they were moving up to the new 32 inch.  ;D

Do you understand the meaning of the word dominate or were you just using it because you saw it somewhere and it sounded good? Let me ask you, how many years in a row has Kirbyville made the playoffs? How many district championships in any class? How many state titles? OK forget the last one, it's too easy.
I agree with what you said and you right. Lets just say Kirbyville had solid teams that made a good run into the playoffs before Ford came to high school. Now do that sound better :)
Wrong! They Were well above average and probably would have destroyed Huffman. So Kville was average before Ford and after him they are terrible. That about sums it up right?

Oh so a couple of "solid teams" is above average now? Lol Maybe they would've beat Huffman, maybe they wouldn't have I guess we will never know, but we do know that right now Kvill would get smashed by Huffman, and that's all that matters.
Hey Falcon It might be better to just not answer him and maybe he will go away.  ;D How are yall doing so far hope everything is good overthere  good luck this year and and maybe we will see yall again at the end of the year
I know it's fun to argue with ignorant posters and watch them scramble tho. Huffman is doing good. The D wont be as strong as last year but the O will be very good. Imo this team will be as good as the 2010 team if not better. I hear Silsbee is really good this year as well, which just means we will most likely get to see another great playoff game.
I sure hope so if everyone stays healthy. we might see yall there maybe three might be a charm for us .  ;D Just kiddin . i hope yall all stay healthy and it would be great to see yall there if we make it
