I saw two things that this kid did that were very impressive at the New Caney Track Meet. He fell down on the 300 hurldes, rolled, got up and sucked two guys up to win the race. On the 4x400 he got the baton and a forest brook and Dayton runner were at the goal post, about fifty meters away and he sucked them up to win the 4x400. The dayton runner was no slouch either. Anyone had the plesure of watching this kid run?

Liberty beat Tarkington in a tourn. and Tarkington turned around and beat them in a district game.

Shepherd didnt have a meet last night. They were at the Splendora Meet.

Hardin will be alright and the Dickey kid will make them even better but they will not be better than this year! their JV team was awful. With Dickey at QB and Stelly at RB, they will be good but no way better without a kid like Marsh to throw to.

By the two schools combining, it wouldnt put them at 5A numbers? How would that be handled?

Yea, thats going to be pretty unfair when it comes district time. I will be glad for next year when there in 4A.

He ran a 10.8. While that is good, it is far from impressive. Plenty of 10.8's are ran every week and get no second look. Is it impressive b/c he from a 1A?

I talked to a Liberty coach personally and he told me that there are about 20 something kids in freshmen athletics and 20-30 in upperclassmen athletics so it sounds almost right to me. There JV was not very good at all with the exception of about 2-3 kids that carried the team.

Any track meets that will be hosted on last two weeks of Feb. or First week of April? I have 3 meets to fill.

Splendora has the best chance in round 1. If it wsnt for a fumble on the goalline last year, they beat a Silsbee team that no one gave them a chance of beating. Splendora by 6 in a close one.

Liberty's JV is alright. Couple of decent looking kids and some speed. They dont have a White or Gee though. But, they do have an Edwards, think its the running back from last years brother.

For one thing, LHSalumni Tarkington beat up on Cleveland that whole game so dont say they shouldnt have won. They also put up over 28 on BH and Huffman that year. As far as this year, thats a different story. under-glow08, stick to cheerleading and track.
