I wanna see full out stripes like a Ref uniform. When i see that i will know that Gage has no style. Or making a statement with his uniforms. "Old offense, Old uniforms"

The lefty sophmore is going to be tuff. Rupp knows what he is doing.
The best thing about that lefty sophomore is that he has finally decided to focus on baseball. Tremendous upside. He's not going to over-power anyone, but he's fearless and he can flat out pitch.
Nothing better for a righty hitter to swing off a lefty. Easy to see the ball, outside pitches go right into the barrell of the bat, inside pitches go into the body.
Yep. It's that easy.
With practice and training with a good coach it is.
I guess those kids from Nederland were poorly coached and had very little training and practice.
Thats why they won district last year? hahaha Learn the facts.
What are you talking about? Facts? That "little lefty" came in during game two of the playoffs last year and shut the 20-4A district champs down. GCM still lost the game and the series, but I think they got their attention. Why do you think a Nederland fan was the one to bring him up?
If he shut them down why did they lose the game? little bit confused.... I didnt know you could lose the game if the other team scored 0 points?
Well, I'll try and explain it to you. Team A is the home team. Team B is the visiting team. A regulation baseball game in high school is 7 innings. Team B bats first and let's say scores 3 runs. Team A bats next and scores 0 runs. At that point, the game is NOT over. The two teams alternate at bats(this occurs after you get the other team "out" three times) with neither team scoring any more runs for several innings. Later in the game Team B gets several more hits (what some people call a rally) and score 2 more runs (or points). Team A's coach could/should possibly elect to make a pitching change, that is take out the pitcher of record and insert a new pitcher in that players position. (Maybe a "little lefty" ;) ) That new "little lefty" pitcher then prevents Team B from scoring any more runs by what I would call "shutting them down". However, beacuse of what some would equate to poor coaching, Team A just can not score runs and they end up losing the game. :'( So the moral of this story: You do not have to be the winnig pitcher or starting pitcher to effectively shut down a team.
So in this case he isn't a good enough pitcher to start in that game.... Sounds like a stud to me. He shut the bulldogs down for 2 innings? thats one go around in the lineup. if that. So in that case the pitcher showed new stuff from the past pitcher for 2 innings and the hitters only saw it once. Couldnt adjust but guarantee adjustments for the second at bat against the same pitcher. Like you said it is a 7 inning game and if a pitcher goes 2 innings each game the team wouldnt have enough pitching for the next game. Once he "shuts a team down" for 6 or 7 innings then i will agree with you and call him a good pitcher. Until that happens i dont see it.
You do not start a Freshman (who pithched the entire season on JV) in game 2 of a playoff series when you have already lost game 1. You start your Senior and hope he can do his job. Several: being more than two but fewer than many in number or kind So it could have been up to 4, just don't remember right now. It was enough to make an impression.
If the kid was a stud he would have been on varsity to begin with. and as for the several this was before your pitching change in your story.... -
Thats not off the mark? it is a well known baseball fact right handed batters hit the ball better off lefties because of the sight of the ball.... I know your son throws on the left side and not dogging him he is a great pitcher and doing well at Angelina, but its easier for righties to hit off lefties -

If you think organized sports is about playing time, you realy missed the boat as a parent, grandparent, uncle, aunt, or whatever you might be. I am very critical of bad coaching, but even more of poor leadership. If Gage lost every game I would be raising heck, but it would not be because he is not supportive of the kids, community, and respectful to his fan base. Heck, I went to 3 pep-rallys this year and I have not been to one of those since high school. I watched Gage and his staff meet kids 10 yards out on the field or chase them down the bench to slap their tails and pat their back for a good play. The only thing I saw the last hon-yocker do was pick grass on the 20-yard line. If your kid's not playing, maybe he nees to put in for that tu-tu wearing Mascot job. ;D
PNG should've beat BH 50-0!!! O man here we go for the past year. did you attend the game? How many times did BH have lead off walks against Chance. 2 walks. how many did they bunt over 0. how many times did BH have one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd and didnt squeeze them in... 3 times!! terrible coaching. The hitters for BH just needed to sit offspeed against Chance. That is all he threw. How many times did BH work on offspeed hitting only in practice(didnt attend but talked to players) 0! They threw Grayson Long( nothing against him) but as for that year he didnt throw asmany games as Leggett and to start him in that big of a game was a bad decision. The coach for BH last year ruined a lot of games for them. Gaurentee that it wont happen for them this year. -

This will be Rupp's 3rd season as GCM's Head Baseball Coach and GCM's 3rd year as a school.
So in that case Rupp is 0 for 2 about to be 0 for 3. Denny hasnt had a chance to win District here but i am sure BH will give teams run for their money and will pull it out -
Parents are involved alot for a fact. But changing the coach for bh was jus a excuse for losing I think..in 06 when price was still the coach the team was great the players were awsome after that it was sort of winless.. I don't think its so much of the coach for losing or winning its what the players bring out to the feild..now for the coaches they have to connect with every player on the team bring out the best in them (ex. Stewart) care about the players, teach them to better in every aspect of the game, how to show and play with heart on the feild. Price was a good coach to the players but could have done a better job by connecting with the players. Hopefully gage can provide that at the hill. Good luck to the eagles and all the returning players for next year!
06 BH was in 3A. Price was a very decent 3A coach. When it got up to more numbers in school he couldnt compete. Gage was a good move. He knows how to win with underdogs which BH definitely has in football.

Now with coaches to teach them and talent they have a lot going for them.
Sure and the rest of the teams in 19-4A are sitting on their no-talent butts doing nothing. Keep hope alive!
Never said they aren't working hard. But none of their coaches are as prestigious as the BH coach. Holding a state championship, 5 District Champs 22-5A as a coach. All American SS at UT still holding records. Everyone talks about the potential talent that BH has and now that they have a real baseball coach it gets to come alive.
You're right. Why should anyone else even try now. By the way, I have two goldfish. "Among Rupp's coaching honors are two Region XIV south coach of the year awards, four ABCA regional coach of the year honors, and four Texas-New Mexico JCBCA coach of the year awards. Last summer, he also coached the Texas-New Mexico JCBCA all-stars and served as an assistant coach on the NJCAA all-star squad which toured Japan." He also has a 3-2 record against BH.
No doubt Rupp knows what he is doing and knows what he is talking about. Rupp have a State Championship ring? College World Series rings? nope. Denny has both. Also BH has way more talent then the Patriots. Had more talent last year but just got out coached.
don't think it really matters how many rings the coaches have on their fingers..there not going to be playing the game. The players will. BH has some good talent just as well as other schools.
BH has the most talent and the most coaching experience. Good for Rupp that he is RATED as a good coach, but it is all about production and how many District Champs does he have? -

This is a recovery year for the Patriots and hopefully Coach Rupp knows that.
Yep. GCM's got nothin'. The same nothin' that beat BH 2 out of 3 last year. This play was just ran this year. It was a middle school game.(not sure on the teams) But exactly that happened other than the clowning around. The center picked the ball up handed it to the QB above his shoulder. the QB walked by the linebackers then started sprinting to the goal line. Check it out on youtube. "Middle School Trick Play"
