Why is it that the Dallas area schools that are highly ranked in Texas, regardless of classification in any giving year are playing Highly Ranked Teams. Duncanville & Faith Family both played and loss to Montverde Academy this year and have played them in previous years. Duncanville is down this year with there recruitment and Faith Family is who they are.
I have not seen too many Houston area schools playing outside of their comfort zone. I don’t see any harm with playing those Prep or Academy Schools, playing those schools will or should prepare them for the next level.
Faith Family plays a very competitive schedule outside of Texas, to be the best you have to beat / play the best. Faith Family schedule prepares them for San Antonio, everyone else is playing for 2nd place

Just imagine if our 6’2” starting guard played. Silsbee wouldn’t have been going after that kid like they were against the 5’5” kid. 🤷🏾♂️
What if Miller and Johnson played?

Can somebody help me understand why BU has scheduled so soft? As a top 6A program I don’t get the logic behind scheduling 4A programs…doesn’t help you at all IMO.
So you call a team who is consistently ranked in thr top 3 of 4A, been to state 3 or 4 times in the last 8 years soft? Silsbee has beat United before and beat Westbrook quit a few times. If you call Silsbee a cupcake team you might wanna do your research on Silsbee.

Silsbee doors are always open for those who would like a great quality education and would love to play sports for some amazing coaches.

Yes indeed they do. Silsbee plays the hardest schedule in the area every season.

Kountze and Silsbee need to renew their rivalry this year.

Jordan Adams - Beaumont. Calvin Tyler (lil C) - Beaumont
There’s others , but I wanted to name the two with the most impact on Silsbee athletic program…

I expect Kountze to make a deep playoff run this year.

True. But if it's about education, you can get a better one than Silsbee here is BMT at Legacy or Kelly... 🤷♂️
Might as well get a great "public" free education in Silsbee lol.

I vote CardinalBacker for this wonderful opportunity

Beaumont could have 2 schools making a deep run in the 6A playoffs this year. I also saw a 6-5" or so kid playing at Marshall Middle School who is dominating. Looks like Beaumont will be in the running for state a few more years.

Good win for Silsbee but we gotta play better defense. Can't wait until we see the full team on the court.

Final
73-69 Silsbee
I had Harris with 39
Lufkin's Brown with 37
I'd like to see this Harris alot. Great game shooting. Once the entire team is healthy, Silsbee should be able to go 9-10 deep.
