They did make state a year or two during that era, but never won anything. They also went home a little too early for my taste a few times.

    I'd prefer it if they challenge themselves before district, even if they bite off more than they can chew sometimes.

     

    Yeah I remember one year around 2009 or so Silsbee played in the Nederland Tournament and almost beat Galveston Ball with Mike Evans and another D1 kid Pettaway.  Same year I think they played in the Woodville Tournament and won every game by 40 plus.

    Silsbee has had more success in 20 that Ozen but its close. Ozen won one right? Kountze has won 3 in the last 20 years your right.

Jasper of course not given a chance. Bellville had the famed Ernie Koy, Jr who would go on to star for UT and the NY Giants. Final score; Jasper won 41-6. But of course that won't help Jasper this time around........ Oh, if you want to look it up, the year was 1959. Just yesterday in my mind!

    Before face mask and segregation. 41-6 Bellville tomorrow.

    I'm a Silsbee Alumni and Silsbee has had some great teams. Beaumont United over the last 4 Years have been so dominant, Silsbee can't make that claim. Silsbee has had teams that have run thru all of Beaumont. There were years Silsbee beat down Central, Westbrook, and Ozen. There have been years Beaumont beat Silsbee by 30 and 40pts. United has 2 Rings and Silsbee has 2. United is #1 in Class 6A. Today,  Beaumont is the best in the state hands down.
