Yates is a school where the drop out rate is higher than most 3A districts combined. The kids usually make it to 9th and they just leave for some reason. They were close to being closed down back in 2008. There have been many good people who graduated from Yates, but over the last 7 years they have hit rock bottom academically!

I hope Kountze, HJ, Evadale, Jasper, and Beaumont come out to support. We need the Tiger side to be standing room only.

No 360's but enough drive the baseline and in the lane dunks to please all dunk fans.

Just saw some highlights here in Houston of Yates vs HJ.. Yates was doing windmill, 360's,, andsome wild alley opps. They seem to try to dunk on every drive to the hoop. Foul them and make them shoot free throws!

DV got those conference from coaching at Alex Keith Park! Silsbee has a chance man. Yates absolutely has a unfair advantage. We will deal with it and play hard. If Silsbee can get hot on those free throws and rebound we got a shot! If Silsbee beats Yates it could be the greatest win in school history!

IMO Yates, Kashmere, Wheatly, and Milby should combine and may two 5A schools. Kashmere is a wreck and so is Wheatly. All being held together by old boards and love of the community. Could save HISD money to combine.Kashmere does have some very very bad student and I sat with some parents. You see why the kids don't know any better.  I feel bad for them!

Silsbee better play the game of their LIVES! I mean over 80 percent free throw shooting and over 55 percent from the field. TEAM BALL! Know when to make the extra pass and know when to shoot. Silsbee will need a huge game from Elam, Holmes, and Wilson. Thomas, Reed, and Dobbins must BOX out. No boxing out last night at all. I want to see the best Tiger ball I have seen from this group. Silsbee starters sat from 4:10 mark of the 2nd qtr to halftime. Also, Silsbee barely pressed all nignt. They missed at least 20 free throws. Codrectr and u can keel it close. Play the same u lose by 40!
