Buna has a better chance at finding a Pappadeaux in Silsbee than winning this game.

I think some fans take it to far. Taunting visiting teams, coaches fighting coaches, fans fighting in the stands. Living here in Houston, I have seen much more than I was ever exposed to growing up. Some people live and die with a win or lost in high school. Have you guys ever been to a game and notice fans making large bets with each other? High School game!

National Schools like Findley Prep, Houston Yates, Oak Hill, Siemon etc......you must have a system that recruits local talent all to one school. Now way Silsbee plays within 30 points of either of these schools. Silsbee is one of very few local team(Golden Triangle)  that has been ranked in USA today in the last 25 years. Silsbee was ranked in the top 20 in 1997, Ozen was ranked high during the Perkins era, and PA Lincoln was ranked a few times in the late 80's and 90's. The one the thing each of these schools had in common was that they all had a McDonalds All American playing for them. If Silsbee won back to back state championships and had a record of 70-0 over that stretch, they might get a vote to crack the top 25.

I read some articles on here and I have said some things in the past about coaches that should lose their job. I have seen people go as far as to call out certain kids on this thread. My question is do we take things to far being a fan and forget these are kids playing not pros?

Buna does have better tram than Orangefield and this game will be close for 2 qtrs but after halftime, the Tigers will open it up! Your right Aggie, Silsbee never likes to run the score up. One of few teams that believe in this still.

Why doesn't Beaumont have anymore powerhouse programs? No team in Beaumont areas has a shot at making consistent run at state each year. In the 80's and 90's they always had a shot at one school going deep into the playoffs.

Can Nederland actually go undefeated in district?

Silsbee can score fast and often! Buna just doesn't have the size, speed, or skill for Silsbee. I can see Silsbee being up 28-0 at the half and it only getting worst for the Cougars. Buna needs a few years to adjust and they will be just fine.

I remember watching Sulpher Springs vs Dayton a few years back the Sulphers Springs coach would pooch kick every single kickoff about 15 yards down field. Think they recover a few of them.

Yes it will be a sound and loud beating! Silsbee respects the good folk over in Buna, but the score board won't show it.

I believe they will be a playoff team, but how many rounds deep can they go. Great season so far. Maybe the best in the past 25 years.

PAM best in the Golden Triangle. My question is would Silsbee or WOS have to play Navasota and in what round. Aren't they ranked 1st in 3A?

Being honest, Vidor, Nederland, PAM, and Dayton would roll WOS. Those teams are very good. WOS hasn't proven that they are the best 3A team in the area yet. I hope Silsbee beats them down!
