Very unorganized basketball there. Looks like a pickup game when they play. But yea very good athletes
Lots of one on one play. I saw where kids were shooting fade away 3 pointers vs Silsbee 🙄🙄🙄. I mean drifting out off the baseline. Geez!!

Jasper has athletes but not true basketball players. They have the size of a 5A team up front. There was a kid who took 2 steps inside the free-throw line and missed a dunk vs Silsbee. He was flying!!!!! If they had one or 2 more hoppers, they would be a scary match up in the playoffs. If they make it, I see in and done but man they have the look for sure.

I'll take Jasper by 6 at home

That's awesome

I agree, Jasper will win it at home in a squeaker.
Neither of these is immune to an upset and I am discounting Vidor and WOS in the role of spoilers next Tuesday. Vidor pushed Jasper to overtime in a tournament. WOS and they lost to BC by only 3 last time. Whoever wins the Jasper/BC matchup shouldn't count their chickens because somebody may steal the eggs first.
Interesting tidbit. Vidor and WOS each have only one win in district. Vidor beat WOS 67-63 in Vidor and WOS beat Vidor 67-63 in Orange. What a down year for WOS. Didn't Vidor beat Ozen one year in district. Maybe around 2008 or something like that.

Rice went from the end of the bench last year to starter this year. That's quite an improvement. Really hope to see similar improvement from Boulwen next year. This is really like his first season playing since he barely got to play last year due to an injury.
Not that it matters for the Tiger varsity this season, but I really like Johnson's passing game and court vision. He'll make for an excellent floor general next year.
Yeah, the dunk count was 2 - 0.
Y`all missed Harris's best dunk due to that stupid camera.
I saw him cross a kid and up and drive right down the lane for a one hand dunk.

Willey also won state in Powerlifting along with his brother Raymond Webster.

Receiving has to be Miller or Barnes

Who is Silsbee's alltime leading rusher and tackler? I was going to say Jay McGuire and Williams from this years team. Passer?

Big win for the Raiders who just locked up 3rd place and a date with Hamshire Fannett or less likely HJ. If they play that whole game like they the first half against Silsbee last Tuesday the Raiders have a shot at the second round.
Bridge city will meet Jasper on Friday to decide 4th place in the district. They'll have to play better than this to win but they can do it.I'll take Jasper all day for the win

Dunk count was 2-0 Silsbee I believe

15-6 Silsbee leads

Was it Jones who played football at Oklahoma St? Harper was darn good QB. I seen him drop like 35pts vs Hardin Jefferson in the playoffs. We lost that year in OT to go to state.

I must apologize for comments about Tylon. He wasn't involved.
Best done face to face since it was done on a public forum.

Jacksonville just broke into the top 25 at No. 16. This must be on account of their win last Tuesday over Bullard. Quite a leap from unranked to 16. Bullard dropped to 17. I was going to comment that Jacksonville could be the sleeper in Region 3 but I guess a No. 16 is not much of a sleeper. Anyway I can see them winning their district and making it to Region if they do. They won't play anybody ranked higher than they before Region.
They play Madisonville tomorrow. In their first meeting Madisonville gave them a scare in a 1 point game.
Wouldn't they see Silsbee in round 2 or 3?

This year.
They are pretty solid. Got a post and a wing player that will cause some trouble. I just don't think they see pressure up that way like what they will see from Silsbee.
Bullard is pretty good too. Split district games with Jacksonville. I see Jacksonville winning the rubber match.
Jacksonville played Lufkin pretty close earlier in the season. Decent shooters and good size. Id still take by 15.

By 1 point. These two are about as close as you can get.
Barring upset it looks like the Tigers will face 4 of 6 good teams depending on which ends up winning their districts.Round 2 Jacksonville or Bullard
Round 3 HJ or HF or Bullard or Jacksonville
Region Semi Furr or Washington
Region Final Furr or Washington.
Jacksonville is not ranked but they just beat 12th ranked Bullard on Tuesday by 17 points so I call them a good team.
Jacksonville and Bullard are tied at 6-1 in District 18. Washington and Furr are tied at 12-1 in District 21. HJ is in the drivers seat in 20 with a one game lead over HF and the rematch at home.
Line em up!

this is damn well a shame! Tylon G is one of the players I spoke about in the Sarkisian in Jasper thread over in football forum. Personally, I cant stand a thief. Moving forward my pov of those involved has been tainted.

LCM playing some good ball for sure. Silsbee should win by 15-20 2nd half.
