Both Silsbee and HJ have several athletes that fit this mold. How about a point guard that resist taking a shot and makes an assist, the guy that grabs double digit rebounds, a hustler thats plays great defense or as simple as a player who consistently makes clean passes against pressure. By the way, I would take my chances with Shawn on a bad night versus most others on a good night. Great kid on and off the court. It amazes me when folks belittle others without a second thought especially when the accuser has never walked in the shoes he criticized.
I believe the correct word is E N V Y.
At age 74, I've seen a little basketball talent over the years. I know, I know - the game is a great deal different since my day, but I've kept up pretty well over the years. All of this is to say that I agree that Prudhomme is one of those rare talents. The only negative that I see is that he has a "Thoroughbreds" nature and that gets him in more trouble than he needs on the court. With a little more discipline, the top of that can is off. I hope that the coming maturity will do the trick because he has the talent and coaching. 8) PS: Anyone out there old enough to remember when girls basketball was played "Half court" with 6 players on the floor? If yes, we need to talk. ;)
I'll bet you looked up to and admired Paul Arizin and George Mikan.
Paul Arizin was the originator of the 'Jump shot" you know. Where would the game be today without him? ;D George Mikan was recognized as the first man to play like a "Big Man." But you know that, don't you?
Tigervoice I hope to meet you in the playoff pal. Hope Silsbee come this way for a few games.

Where will Silsbee and HJ play their playoff
I never said Silsbee wouldn't play Yates, but I just don't see Yates wanting to play Silsbee. I see no benefit for Yates in that game.
Yates would play FB Bush for a warm up most likely -
Great game by both teams! HJ did a better job shooting free throws tonight. Silsbee has to stop taking so many 3's if they can't do better than 3/18. I look forward to seeing a district playoff to determine the winner. Great broadcast guys! Congrats Hawk fans. Your now 1-4 in the last 5 head to head. Drive home safe Tigers and Hawks.

I would imagine each school could profit 2k-3k more moving it to a neutral site just off ticket sales. I heard in Silsbee alone close to 200 fans were locked out. Move the game to Beaumont as a main attraction, you would pull another 200 plus people just in that area alone. I more than sure each school could put that extra money to good use.

WOW!!!!
Which last I heard HJ was winning 55-27!
That's not saying much against this Silsbee freshmen team. This is only their 2nd game this year as a team.
I don't think most people realize how young Silsbee is. They have a few freshman on varsity mixed in with sophomores, juniors, and senior.

Neither of those teams would beat the 1996/97 or 94/95 Tiger teams.

Thats wack man!

I will be looking for that sign in the window...Are you joining me for the "pre-game" meal at Sour Lake's finest eatery...Queen de la Dairy? ;D ;D....I will stop by there around 3:30 pm...
GO TIGERS! Won't be at the meal. Be sure to bring plenty of $ with you because the SL Dairy Queen has higher prices than a 5 star restaurant. I guess that's because they can so easily fool all of us naive country folk who spend the bulk of their time slopping the pigs and getting eggs.
Any way the could add maybe 50 folding chair seats? Man if you from Silsbee you would have been better off not going to work.
Funny, your prediction of a 16 point HJ win says otherwise. ::)
Well I've seem some great 16 point games in my day. Just because I didn't predict us to win doesn't mean I don't want us to win more than you. Free throw shooting and fouls will determine the winner.
BADSANTA, are you serious !!! I think you just disrespected the whole town of Silsbee with that score... Silsbee by 7
I use reverse psychology! You and I both know I want Silsbee to win. I just don't know if the refs will let them play aggressive as they Re use too. For some reason when Silsbee goes to Sour Lake, the ticky tac fouls seem to occur. I'd hate to see us in major foul trouble early. We got to defend even better than last game.
