Silsbee will face their most difficult test of the season. This will be a very hostile environment and they will be playing a ticked off HJ team. Foul trouble and how the refs call the game will be huge! I'm going with HJ 75 Silsbee 59. Hate to do it!

I think Joe Sigler is a coach most don't give credit too. I think he is in the top 20 in Texas in Alltime wins and district title. He hasn't had the privilege of winning a state title but there aren't too many coaches in SETX who I would rather have over him.......CHURCH!

Evadale has been to state as well about 3 times since the year 2000.

Vidor beat Ozen in basketball?  Wow! Did the Universe Flip flop that year?

Silsbee 2008 and 2010. Been to Austin 5 times total as a school.

I've seen teams with a bunch of slow basketball players out play a team of athletes many of times. Basketball skill will beat out Pure athlete all day. May not be as pretty but you will get winning results.

Coach English is doing very well at Big Ned! He deserves more credit than what he gets.

Coach Boutte had the luxury of having the best talent in the area along with him being a players coach. Could Boutte have taken the talent in Silsbee to state and won back in the late 80's and 90's? What if he coached some of those good Cleveland teams?

Who has the best coaching staff in SETX? Does a state title define you as great or is it wins?

Most of the greatest head coaches didn't always need to best talent to win it all.
