Great game yesterday in Houston. Furr has improved since last season. Region III will be battle to get out of. Furr has some very good shooter and Washington has size with Lewis and McDermott. Silsbee will need to beat one or both to advance to state. 

19-4A is down to the wire for 2nd-4th wow. Good luck to those squads.

I saw a few kids from Jasper shooting fade away 3 pointers that either were air balls or extremely bad misses. Lots of one on one ball. They have a ton of size but everyone likes to shoot bad shots.. 

Jasper has athletes but their basketball fundamentals are way off. Lots of size!

Bridge City has some kids who can shoot but they better get it going in order to make the playoffs. Didn't BC upset HJ last year or thr year before in the 1st round?

Silsbee second round matchup of the runner up of Bullard/Jacksonville will be better than most realize.  Jacksonville has most of there team back that lost in OT to Highland Park in the second round of the 5a playoffs last year.  HP ranked #10 in the 6a poll this week.  Bullard will have a 6'5 guard who is the real deal.  Won the state in the 4a high jump last year.  Bullard has some kids that can stroke it.

 

Not saying they will lose to any of these teams but if you are looking to far ahead and dont play a good game in the second round these guys are good enough to upset some plans down the road.

None of them can play Silsbee within 20pts

Yep he was the assistant to Sigler when I was in school. Knew his dad as well. 

This should be an exciting playoffs. I think Jasper or BC will upset someone. I dont think Furr  makes it to Regionals. I could be wrong. HF is solid as well.

Yeah mayne not this year then. Silsbee wouldn't see Washington or Furr until the Regionals right? 

Does Hardin Jefferson have a good chance to advance to the Regionals this year? 

Is Rice for Silsbee a sophomore? He still has some growing to do in size and maybe height.

Agree. Im excited to see his son follow in his foot steps along with Coach Gilder. Silsbee has an outstanding coaching staff that does alot on and off the court to help these young men grow. 

Does John Burris still coach?

Kinda wondering if the Tigers move Shoulders (#14) back up to varsity or not. Might not since it's so late in the season, but these JV games are looking way too easy for him. 

Yeah I had the same thoughts. I think Shoulders could be a strong asset to the varsity for the playoffs. 

How do you give up a lead that big at home?
