The 70's, 80's 90's Silsbee vs Jasper. Remember back in 1992 when Jasper came to Silsbee to play for the district championship. Kirby Memorial Stadium was so packed, people were walking up with lawn chairs just to sit around the gated area. I would imagine there were at least 9,000 people there. The following year Silsbee went to Jasper and it was same situation. That Alamo was jammed packed from shoulder to shoulder. It was about 55 degrees outside. Silsbee end up losing both games but it was a awesome experience.  You remember these games Aggie?

Ozen to 3A? What about LCM and Lumberton? Are there more kids at those schools than are enrolled at Ozen?

My class of 1998 was good one as well with Brandi Mccain, Thad Holden, Lewis Airline, Detrice Spearman, and Shondala Lockett. Dont think we had too much baseball or track talent that year.

I think Jasper reminds me the most. When the game starts, the only thing thats open in Dairy Queen and the police station.

Utfan, I was told by a classmate of mine that this could be the BEST overall Silsbee group (sophomore class) that they have had in the last 10 years. With the mix of great seniors and experienced juniors, the could suprise some people. I look for them to have a winning record and go to the 3rd round of the playoffs.

6"1 180lb tailback as a sophmore is awesome. They need to get him the ball at least 15 times per game behind that line. I know Silsbee runs the spread offense, but with a line that big, why not throw fullback in the back field and run a little smash mouth ball?

You know something tells me that if Silsbee can get everyone on the same page, they could go at least to the 3rd round. Their defense seems to be better.

Saw a clip on the new Silsbee QB on www.kfdm.com. He seems to have a strong arm. How does his accuracy look? He looks to be around the same build and size as Jeremy Johnson.
