  1. Congrats Titans! Great season BH…losing sux rocks, I know, but you proved a lot of people wrong this season. 4 rounds deep is nothing to be ashamed of at all, and it certainly wasn’t the 30-40 point blowout many were predicting. As for as the game goes, if you can’t contain the edges; especially with a QB like Amante, it’s going to be a very long night! That kid is very fun to watch!
  2. I agree, neither team is the same as they were mid-season, nor should they be. 9-5A just proved to the rest of the region and to the state, that 9-5a can ball, too! PAM is gonna be tough, tough, tough. Can BH beat them, ABSOLUTELY, but if Morton isn’t back, it’s gonna be a lot more difficult! A LOT more difficult! PAM is definitely an elite team in 5-A D1, they have proven that all year long. BH, although I wouldn’t classify as elite, is very, very good…hard-nosed sort of good! They have developed into that “you get punched, you punch back harder!” sort of really good team! Reminds me of the ol K-State teams under Snyder! Maybe BH gets knocked back to reality on Saturday, and if so, BH can hold their head high, that’s for sure…what I do know though, is BH isn’t gonna just lay down because it’s PAM. We basically had “no chance” going into the Weiss game, and BH overcame adversity multiple times to a very good ballclub, too! Go get ‘em BH!
  3. This! I am 100% in agreement! Early on…say the first 3 or 4 games, he was 1/2 a beat off or so, just enough to make some really bad reads or rush when he didn’t need too. Games, maybe 5-8, something happened. BH is right, he acted more like there was something nagging him, either physically or emotionally…he just wasn’t decisive. It was during the Ball game when I noticed something changing, and again in the Westbrook game. But last week against Anderson and last night against Weiss, he was a totally different player. It’s like all the baggage holding him back; sneaking into his head and clouding up the picture, evaporated! These two were by far, his best games of the season and he looks like a D1 player! Last game notwithstanding, it helps to have the Tripp Davis’, Keegan Morton’s, and the Anthony Bonnetts for yards after the catch they all get to help with Passing yardage stats! Way to go Barrier; way to shake the demons within!!! Way to go Eagles and prove the naysayers wrong and to make this old Eagle feel just a bit guilty for letting some doubt creep in! And last but not least, way to go Simper and staff for abandoning the perceived, let’s play to not lose mentality you showed in the first handful of games when you had a lead, late; and this now this new hunger to win and a new confidence that you can play with the best of them! AWESOME! Enjoy today, because this coming weekend is another “Everest!” — but, you can win it, you’ve proven that!
  4. GREAT GAME Titans…y’all look tough, tonight!!
  5. Other than that stupid tush push play, I felt the staff finally called a really, really good game on both sides of the ball. As far as Barrier goes, tonight by far was his BEST game all year. Congrats BH on a solid game…enjoy it and get busy for next week. Watching Weiss dismantle Lufkin after their 1st round game…scary!
  6. I wish this jack%#$ in Texanlive trying to play ESPN with the dang camera would cut it out. Just lock it down dingbat. I’m about to throw up and missing half the plays!
  7. Oh mercy…I don’t know where they dug up these refs…it’s like they chose the old, raggety dogs from the kennel that nobody wanted! It really is a clown show!
  8. What’s up with BH. They look really timid on defense tonight!
  9. Morton is struggling too. He normally is surehanded!
  10. Well, I have made mention in past posts dating back to the beginning of the year about the QB situation and my concern about the speed of the game regarding Barrier. I feel Wells is just a 1/2 beat faster in his decisions and release and from 3a to 5a is huge, imho. I mean no ill toward Barrier because he's doing all he is able, I just feel Wells operates at a different level. My biggest concern is his size, though. Anytime he breaks the line of scrimmage or is sacked, I cringe hoping he can just pop-up. But, that kid is a gamer and I have not once seen him shy away from a hit. That said, I hope and think BH will beat WB.
  11. Brycen Wells came in just inside the 2 mins warning of first have with BH up 24-0 if I remember. Ran like 4 plays, 3 of which were completions and a TD. Then BH had a pick 6 at end of half.
  12. I’m sorry Barrier got hurt, never like to see that all. I am glad; however, B Wells is getting some real snaps. Comes in inside 2 mins and 3 for 3 and a TD!
  13. I think I would like to see Wells get some quality reps in. This offense is just looking rather stagnant!
  14. BH can’t tackle so it wouldn’t matter if BH booted to 1 yrd line. PAM would score in 2 plays!
  15. Lordt, it appears BH’s season was all about preparing to play Lufkin and now…well, not the same team the past 2 weeks, that’s for sure! PAM isn’t a Lufkin, that’s for sure, but Sterling???
  16. Welp, they finally got the right feed playing just so I can watch the HILL not tackle
  17. Is anybody on Texanlive seeing the right game? I’ve got Waller on my PA vs BH link!
  18. Obviously, my comment was sarcasm! I agree with BHFan…from top down, BH was unprepared mentally and got totally manhandled and outcoached! I wished we could have pulled it out, but BH didn’t earn it, sterling did! we couldn’t tackle, couldn’t get much pressure on the qb, couldn’t catch a damn cold, and our backs tripped over the painted lines, ad nauseum! Now we gotta regroup and bust our butts to get ready for PAM!
  19. Most uninspired game by BH I’ve seen in many years! BH Middle School South would rock the Eagles tonight! Maybe they are just trying not to show anything, and if so, they are doing a stellar job! Geez!!
  20. Well, that might be normal convention, but it dang sure didn’t help Cleveland!
  21. I agree the pics and penalties are killers; really unfortunate to say the least! What was with that porous secondary too?? I don’t remember such wide open receivers in the previous two games!
  22. I said last week, this coaching staff playing to not lose with the lead in the 4th is gonna cost us. Run the damn offense that got you the lead, and quit this uber conservative play call! Stupid!!
  23. Way to prevail Eagles! Good win against a much improved Manvel team. I thought Barrier looked much more in control tonight, than last week. I know getting reps under fire will do that; and the young man can spin that ball! Again though, I’m perplexed that we can’t seem to match adjustments the opponents are making. This is gonna be a deadly trend in district if we can’t figure that piece out. …and for crying out loud, you have just been gashed the whole 2nd half, and your offense has gone stale and not moving the ball very well, so you double down and decide to play uber conservative with 8 minutes. Cmon…don’t play not to lose, play to win, coach! Yes we won, but man…we were lucky tonight! A win is a win though, and Eagle Nation will take it, gladly…! Go get ‘em Eagles next week too!
  24. I was wondering the same thing about the QB…New program, 3A to 5A quickness/speed adjustments, etc…he can spin the ball for sure, just looked a little too hurried. Defense looks pretty good, but over the middle needs tightening up in a hurry or we gonna be trailing on the scoreboard a lot! Offense just looked a bit anemic, far too often. I know it’s first game and new Coaches and all, but yikes! NC defense made good adjustments after 1/2, but it didn’t look like BH matched…that might not bode well if we can’t make the necessary 1/2 tine adjustments! I agree though, a win is a win…but damn, get those boys sone electrolytes…a lot of cramping going on! Hope Morton is ok, will need his speed and agility for sure! Go BH!
  25. Those Lady Eagles are rockin’!
