1. Good job Eagles, you made them work for it!  Wasn't over at the 1/2, wasn't a blow-out, the Indians had to work and work they did.  However, the weaklings of 19-4a made a good showing so keep your heads up.  PNG...good win, congrats and good luck down the road.
2.

PNG 21 - BH 7 - 2:07 Left
Actually this is a pretty good old fashioned beating!
How you figure?  The Eagles gave them all they could handle and with the Indians scoring after an interception on the Eagle 14 with about 2-1/2 minutes left for their 3rd score, doesn't sound like an old fashioned beating to me.  Win, absolutely!!!  Beating... Hardly!!
3. Yeah, they're ahead, but who'd thought they both would be hangin' so tight, so late in the game.  After all the rhetoric, both should have been blown-out by now!
4. You know, I too can understand how thrilled some of Dayton's followers are that they have such a lock on whichever district they may happen to be in in 4 or 5 years.  Yes, from all your posts this year, we see how awesome your 7th and 8th grade teams are.  Congratulations, and I'm sincere with that!  However, that said, 4 or 5 years is a long time  and ANYTHING can happen. Any school can have  one or two "super" players that move-in or move-out, you can have a handful of young men that simply don't mature as quickly as some and all of sudden, "wow, who are they and where did they come from?" and they've been there all along getting pummeled by the early bloomers in their class.  That can be said for HS level kids as well. Any HS can have kids that can play varsity as a sophmore and some of the kids in that same sophmore class are just beginning to physically mature.  Then, when they're all at the varsity level at the same time it looks like a whole different ballclub.  I think the last scenario is quite true now. I'm sure ALL schools have moved talent up and down based on their needs this year so whose to say, really.  It's all hope.  Yes, Dayton had a GRAND time with BH this year -  "running the table" in ALL classes, but there are just too many variables to say that Dayton will OWN any team from now on.  You may, but I don't possibly see how you can make that claim.  The Hillguy knows what I'm talking about, remember Willis?  (yes, we're old farts) I'm just sayin' kids grow and mature at different rates; kids move-in and out of schools, coaches come and go so to assume that any team will forever own another is ludicrous.
5. updates please...I'ma big boy, I can handle it.
6. Thanks for posting the video.  As for as the call, I too feel as if it were the right call...no bias here even though I'm an Eagle.  I was in state the week before and watch GCM dismantle the Eagles.  This little video showed me a whole bunch about the Eagles that I questioned the week before.  I'm sure Crosby is a good team and we'll see just how good tonight; but beg to differ with most that if the Broncos played the Coogs on any other night, the game would have been much different.  I think the outcome could have been totally different.  I can't say that about the GMC/BH game though, but one thing for sure, both of these teams looked pretty dadgum good on this video.
7. ...and another thing. Perhaps these other posters "calling out the coaches" as everybody likes to call it, knows these young men are much more capable than what they're displaying, week in and week out. I just feel bad for the kids who've I've witnessed on occasion. Perhaps they feel they're not getting everything due them, and well...it's sort of like Reagan's Trickle Down Theory... To quote I'mjussayin' "I'm just sayin'!"
8. PurplePride, I'm sure your comment wasn't directed at my post...well, maybe a little. But in defense of the fellow Eagle posters on here, who have been begging for better coaching, I will ask you one simple question. Does Stewart and his staff roam the sideline, regardless of whether the Broncos are winning or losing, and coach their kids during the game, or fire them up, or get in their face when they need to? My bet is yes and that they do not stand off by themselves and look totally mystified like they have never seen the team they're playing or the scheme they're playing before! Does Price know his stuff??? Perhaps. Does Price know how to get his team prepared? Well, that's suspect from the couple of games I HAVE witnessed. Go read my post again. I said I saw very little on field leadership. That's a gut check Purple from the young men out there laying at all out. I'm sure you played in your hayday and my bet is that you got fired-up each game or YOU wouldn't be on here like the rest of us reliving our glory years through these kids. I'm not bashing these young men at all before somebody squawks on here to leave these young guys alone. I'm just saying they better start relying on themselves to get fired-up and motivated because leaving it to this staff, in my honest opinion, isn't going to happen and that's a sad, sad, tale! But I for one feel coaching these young men is more than teaching the x's and the o's, it's about motivation and inspiration and attributes that will take these young men way farther than the football field, and well frankly, I didn't see it last night, that's for sure! Go Eagles...find the fire, find the desire and let's go give Dayton a football game!!!!
9. Ohhhh I shudder to think about next week. The mighty Broncs coming off a loss to none other but the Cougars from Crosby???? They ain't gonna be very hospitable to the Eagles and I guarantee if our boys can't find some way to light a fire under their butts, it's gonna get real ugly, real fast!!!! > > >
10. What coaching? They all stood on the sideline by themselves? C'mon, coaching HAS to happen on Friday night too!!!!!
11. Man o Man! I only get to see one game a year if I'm lucky since I live out of state, but I do follow the Eagles religiously on here. I must say though, tonight, sitting in the stands in the pouring rain for Homecoming, I just witnessed the most UN-INSPIRED football team I've seen in a long time. I witnessed no leadership on the field; I watched the coaches on the sideline all the way on one end and the players on the other and NO coaching going on there, and the only inspired "lick" from the Eagles came like on the next to the last play of the first 1/2. Lots and lots of arm tackles and basically NO leather poppin'. I hope, hope, hope that this was not the "real" EAGLES or it will be a very long rest of the season. And before anybody says the rain was an issue, bull; it was just as bad for the Patriots. Now those boys looked inspired and came ready play.
12. The "deal" is Cy Ranch is a first year HS and is the same as GCM and Kingwood Park were last year, with the exception, that they are a 5-A school. There are no seniors on the team or in the HS and they just called themselves a JV team since all they have are Juniors, Sophs, and Frosh. At least that is my understanding.
13. Total heartbreak, but you know...sounds like the kids have heart; coaches doing a good job mixing it up; now let's work on execution and we should make some noise in the crappy 19-4A...LOL!
14. Raiders win 35-29...GREAT GAME Lumberton. Eagles, keep your head, fix the silly mistakes and you'll win some good games!!!
15. Cheezy Pete.... got clobbered and threw a pic. Raider''s will win on 2 costly pics...AGAIN! However, Vivrette had over 260 yards passing.
16. Sack....2nd /13 with 66 seconds.
17. 3rd 4 on the 28. 1st and 10 at the 32 with 1:18,
18. 92yds to go for the Eagles' with just over 2 mintues.
19. 4th and 7 Raiders with just over 2 minutes remaining. Sorry Snoop, don't remember.
20. Hill tries onside, Raiders get it.
21. Both teams over 300 yds offense.
22. TD Hill. 35-29 Lumberton 2:50 left. Hill missed another PAT.
