Wow...this is pretty tragic so far. I'm not sure if the Eagles have +yds to end the half or not, but I would bet not. Receivers can't catch, the Hagler has nowhere to run, QB has no time whatsoever....

I still think Aledo's #3 an #4 hitters play Inside and Outside Linebacker for that perpetual State Champion football team y'all have up there. Those gals look HUGE and I don't wanna tussle with them, that's for dang sure!!

It WAS a great game, for sure! Both teams deserve their rankings and accolades, even with the errors, very fundamentally sound ball teams!

Well...the 2 dropped passes behind their secondary certainly hasn't helped!

I suppose I will echo CCRed's comment in last night's BH/Whitehouse game about not seeming like much Defense being played, as this game sounds eerily familiar in many aspects!

Fellow Chambers County fella...no, we always expect to be in the playoffs, for the most part. After the merger of 21/22 5A, most in the 22-5A, 21-5A, and many in these smaller classification wrote the Hill's chances off. They said with PNG, Ned, Vidor, Crosby, Dayton, and even Santa Fe coming from that hellacious district, that we would be competing to stay out of the cellar with the likes of Lee (and didn't they surprise some people, us included). As the year progressed, it wasn't so much being at the bottom, but finishing just out of playoff contention. No, I and most Eagles don't like squeaking into the playoffs in 3rd and atop the old 21-5A, but being competitive with the likes of PNG, Nederland, Crosby, Dayton and even Manvel last night is damn sure a step in the right direction. I am old enough to remember when EC and BH were the same classification, that EC couldn't stay on the field with BH...back when 1 team went to the playoffs. Yay for EC, you won handily last night, keep it up!

Holy cow....I just saw on MaxPreps that we had 500yds against Manvel with our backup-backup QB. Granted, he had a rough 3qtr, but to come in and throw for 455yds...great job #12. Now, if we could have figured out how to have stopped their 591yd outburst and redo the 3rd qtr....LOL. Man, that 3Qtr killed us...other than that, we matched them! Great job BH this year for a team that many didn't expect would be in the playoff hunt, you patched things together pretty well with some key backups!!

Understood....but comparing the edges to the secondary play and the QB up the middle, I’ll take our chances on the edges comment... lol

I think we've been on the negative side on many of the Calprep predictions, so yes, possible.

Obviously I am a Homer, but for the Hill to beat Manvel, even a "Less-than-Manvel" Manvel team, they will have to play better than they played against PNG and Santa Fe. Our run defense is pretty dang salty, especially on the edges...our secondary...that's an entirely different story. PNG at our lunch with a strong passing QB, Santa Fe did too. If our D plays like those 7 or 8 minutes in the 3rd against SF, then we have a chance. Other than those few minutes in the 3rd, we looked like any ol 3rd or 4th place district team. Obviously, I'm pulling for the Eagles...Eagle Proud and I hope we go with #15 QB. He seemed much more confident when he was in the ballgame to me and it looked as though the offense responded well too. Nothing against #12, I just think the team seemed to respond better...couldn have just been that night, who knows.
