Look at the guys mack early offered for 15 class and where they landed? Sam, Kansas, WTa&m,...bad early reaches and then not having a QB were the downfall the past 4 seasons. The ship was righted this recruiting season. If UT gets avg play out of Heard this year they will be much improved even with the losses on D. It all starts at QB and personally I think Heard will be a stud if they do indeed switch to more of the ohio state spread option offense.

I understand that and totally agree with exposing your guys as much as possible. I don't agree with a having a "team" and then all of the sudden ray decides to fly in someone else to pitch instead of the guys on his team that have been with him all year. Again I understand from the players perspective, but from a team and parent perspective you have to see that the people that have been there for the long run getting shoved aside would not go over well. If you are just short pitching because you are on game 8 in 5 days in a huge national tourney ok but the banditos employ this every weekend big or small tourney just for the sake of posting another number on their website.

The heat might but the rest of those teams do not do that. Their rosters are posted from the get go. At a big tourney, such as WWBA in Georgia, they might pull a couple of extra pitchers from a lower level team but they are not flying in guys or recruiting guys from other teams to play.     Sun Devils fell yesterday to the Banditos/Dallas Tigers lol

I have never seen the heat, kyle chapman,angels or sun devils pull that strategy, only the banditos. I'm not blaming the kids as I can see that angle if you are ok with being a hired gun...I just think its chicken *hit for a team to do it because you didn't build anything, you just hired or bought the team to win so you can post on your website about how many titles you have.

I understand what you are saying, its just frustrating when teams employ the banditos strategy of just hiring guns when they are not really part of your program.

ok that's what I had heard during the year but that article made it sound like he was going to be pitching this summer.  I also thought I had heard that proctor had hurt his arm during the high school season but it appears he is healthy and playing?

No Hamm is tool because he followed a recruit in a bathroom and has zero objectivity.   I don't think atm is going to go away, but I have to wonder about the arrogance that came about the last two years with having a once in a life time player...and yet you guys still didn't win anything. I cant imagine what would happen if you actually did win a NC or even a sec title.
