  1. I'm more worried about their defense. They score as much as the offense......just ask the Titans.
  2. Congrats on your win tonight Raiders. Sounds to me like you guys showed up to play, and you were the better team. KUDOS. Since ya'll beat Central, and Central beat Vidor, and ya'll lost to Vidor......I'm not sure at all what to make of this district at this point. It's all a big jumbled mess. Nederland looks like the front runner, at this point. But there's alot of football left to play, and after tonight's win, I think the Raiders might be there at the end contending for a district title. Good luck on the rest of your games.
  3. I think the last nail was driven into that coffin at the end of the first quarter. I sat next to a NS fan at our game, and he said that NS's offense didn't play a single down in the first and that the defense scored three TD's! WOW.! We're gonna have a really tough time beating this team. I love my Bruins, but I think the deck is stacked against us in this one. NS has one MEAN defense. I guess we'll have to wait till Week 10 to find out. Sorry about the loss Titans.
  4. OK. Lemme start out by stating the obvious. Our defensive secondary SUCKS! STILL!! I thought this problem had been fixed. Judging by our two previous wins, it looked like it had. Our defense stops the run pretty well. The Falcons would take posession and run the ball on the first two downs and get nothing. On third down, they would throw like a 40-50 yard bomb for a completion. This kept them in the game for most of the first half in a game where Channelview shouldn't have scored at all. Period. Granted, we hadn't played in 5 weeks, but gosh we looked bad in the first half. In the second half, we looked like the Bruins from a couple of weeks ago. The coaches made a few halftime adjustments and we were able to keep them out of the endzone. The offense looked good in spurts. C-Mike made some great runs for a couple of TD's. We more than likely lost Jordan Garrett #4, for two to three weeks due to a high ankle sprain. C-Lou played OK, IMO. Ryan Grant, on the other hand , made some spectacular receptions and scored a few times as well. Overall, we didn't play as well as the score indicated. Yes, we scored 61 points, but against a fairly weak team. It was all WB in the second. If we dont start coming out strong from the beginning of the game, there is no way we're gonna be able to play with NS. They will kill us. Anyway, I give tonight's performance a B-. Maybe next week's game will improve a little bit.
  5. Game time is 7:00. Post updates here! I'm off to the game!!!!!! ;D
  6. Predictions? Post updates here!
  7. Scooter they did grow up in the Woodlands game; West Brook would have gotten spanked Too. Spanked??? I dont think so. TWH might have won a game against WB, but it wouldn't have been the whooping PAM took! NS is gonna eat PAM for breakfast and come looking for Sterling for lunch!
  8. Yep! It's the week prior to the NS game!
  9. I know you enjoyed this 4a ball, man! I hope I get a chance to check out some 5a ball myself. I'll try to catch a Memorial or another Brook game. so dont be a wuss and ride with me to watch the Bruins steamroll the Falcons tomorrow night. Dont worry about your Jags, they're gonna put up enough points to beat Lumberton. ;D
  10. ...by "owns", do you mean purchased? Why would you want to own an old nasty Raider? LOL! Just kidding Raider fans. ;D
  11. After only 2 games this season, I'd have to give the Brook the following rating: Offense-8 After playing a decent 4A and a sub-par 4A team, it's still unknown how good this offense can be. There are still alot of improvements that can be made, but still very good. Defense-6 Again, after only two games it's kinda hard to judge. We tend to stop the run fairly well, but we dont put enough pressure on the QB in passing situations. Although our secondary is MUCH improved from last year. If improvement is made in the next couple of games, by the time we get to Week 10, we should be hard to beat.
  12. Went there, registered, got the book!
  13. I'm suprised to admit this, but I think Vidor will win this game. The Panthers seem to come out firing, but fizzle late in the game. Vidor, on the other hand, comes out slow and gets things going in the second half. If Ozen could play four quarter football, they could make it interesting. But the Pirates are playing with alot of momentum right now, and I dont believe the Panthers have what it takes, at this point, to swing the momentum in their favor. The Pirates are playing with alot of enthusiasm, Ozen is not. Vidor 35 Ozen 7.
  14. WOW! It sounds like it's gonna be a long rest of the season for the Panthers if something doesn't change in a hurry!
  15. Based on what I've read, Lumberton is really gonna need Hanna to play in order to be competitive. Even if he does play, Central has seen as good, or better RB's this season. There probably isn't anything he will bring to the table that the Jags wont be ready for. Central should win this game by at least 2 TD's.......as long as they are mentally prepared for the game. Central 32 Lumberton 15
  16. No kidding, huh? I am predicting that West Brook will probably start the game out a little slow....after five weeks off. Once we get our timing back and things start rolling, we will take out five weeks worth of frustration on Channelview. The starters will be out of the game halfway through the third quarter. West Brook rolls in this one 56-14!
  17. WOW! What a rout! Congrats Jaguars. Good luck Bears on the rest of your season.
  18. It would be nice to see the Titans score again. It would say alot about their program.
  19. INT PAM!!!!!! They'll get another shot at it.
  20. Absolutely nothing. Right. Four teams won, and four teams lost. Simple as that!
