Do we have confirmation on the rescheduling of the West Brook/Westfield game? If so, when?

Well, it looks as though we may not get to play this game afterall.......Ike! Hopefully it wont hit near here, and we can reschedule. If not, then maybe we can take out our frustration on Aldine Eisenhower (IKE)!

I'm not going anywhere this time. I'm still broke from the money I spent on fuel and the work I missed from the last evacuation. I just dont want to miss any more HS football games than I have to. I guess we're not going to get to play Westfield. DANG! >

You know what's funny? I was in the press box last night at Durley and a couple of other press guys started talking about Ike. I told them that I didn't think Ike was really gonna be that much of a problem for the Bruins as long as we got through Westfield without any injuries. Of course, they were talking about the storm and I was talking about Aldine Eisenhower-West Brook's opponent in two weeks. I had not heard the latest about this hurricane. Boy was I suprised. The last time I heard anything about it, it was heading up the Eastern seaboard. See what happens when the cooler weather gets here and it's football time. I forget about everything else!

Exactly!! I think if the game were played over again at Durley, the outcome would be different. But, I guess we'll get to find out this year, wont we? ;D

The rankings, especially the AP, is a joke. We had the Mustangs on the ropes last year, at their house. If it weren't for a couple of questionable calls by the refs, we might have won that game. This year, it's at our house. If we show up to play our game, I think we can play with anybody in the state. Even Westfield. They are a good team, but we aren't too shabby, either! They might win, but it isn't gonna be a blowout like "the experts" are saying. They've got a very good quarterback that can run his offense. They are ranked higher, IMO, because they are a Houston area school and they get more exposure. Most of them haven't seen our offense, or defense and dont think we can play because we are from a smaller town. They should get all they want from the Bruins come Friday.

Why? We dont play North Shore till November 7.

patsfan1...you're a Slap (nothing personal)! It was a good game...We busted them boys up! We should have done a better job...but we didn't...don't give me that crap about it was on the 2nd and 3rd team...that's bull! Our Offense moved the sticks and our Defense hit CL and CM all night...That #4 did a great job! We'll get better and I sure hope that y'all are ready for the Mustangs...Good Luck! Wish you guys the best for the rest of the season! Hey cowboy, what patsfan1 said about the 2nd and 3rd team was true for the most part. Stump did the same thing last week. When Brook got a comfortable lead, he pulled most of his starters (offensive and defensive) to rest them and give the reserves a chance to play. At that point is when Central really started moving the ball, but by then it was too late. As far as the Brook is concerned, I still haven't seen what I would really call a dominating performance from start to finish. Central made a few mistakes and we were there to capitalize on them. But we made a few mistakes of our own. We cannot do the same against a team like Westfield, who we will play this week. In order for the Bruins to compete in the upper tiers of 5A football, we are gonna have to play mistake free, four quarter football.......which is something we haven't done yet. I give them a B for overall team performance. Jags, I'll give you a B+ in the first half, and a C- in the second half. Keep your heads up Jags, you are gonna win some ball games this year. That defense of yours is stellar, and ya'll did a great job of slowing down our offense. Bruins, we still have some things to work on, but if we show up to play Friday night against Westfield, we should be fine. I think we can beat them in a close game.

Just as a side note, the 12 points that our 2nd/3rd string gave up was to Central 1st string offense.

I heard that they kept giving the ball back to each other by way of turnovers. Congrats Titans.

Well, it wasn't necessarily pretty but a win is a win. Central definitely did some good things defensively tonight. That line was able to keep C-Mike in check most of the night. The Bruins looked OK offensively. They looked beter last week, but I think the Jaguar defense really prepared for West Brook and I think it was a great game for both teams. It is something we can build on as there is definitely room for improvement, offensively and defensively. The level of competition for West Brook was better this week than last week, and it is only going to get tougher as the weeks go on. Westfield is gonna bring it next week, but hopefully we will get a full week of practice and will be ready for them. Good game Jags! OK game Bruins. Improvement is necessary in order to compete as a premier team in 5A!

I dont know about that! If they play us like they played tonight, we should win. However, the Woodlands appear to be a very good team. every year they were a very good team by people assumptions when they played LP, only once they gave LP a game. If they blast PAM by 40+ then i'll think they are 4real. Oooh that;s right. PAM's got the Woodlands in a couple of weeks. I'd hate to be playing them right now! :-[

you mean, before they went to the 'WOODSHED"! I'm gonna gloat a while on this one! ;D I love it. I just had to take a second and re-think our chances against the Tigers this year. (tick-tock) I suddenly like our chances!

Central is definitely gonna be battle tested by the time district starts after having played three GOOD 5A teams!! IF the Jags can stay healthy, they're gonna be tough to beat in district!
